Through Soccer Shots, we've impacted thousands of children in and around our communities. We attribute much of our success to the dedicated, fun, and a little bit crazy team we've put together. Do you want to impact kids lives? We are looking for GREAT instructors who want to make a kids life special through soccer. We are looking for instructors for the all seasons in several areas of CT. Our programs run from Enfield to Hamden to Glastonbury to Burlington and everywhere in between. You have to be HIGHLY energetic, creative, have a silly side, ability to laugh at yourself, and love working with small kids! You MUST be able to be silly, creative, and laugh at yourself - A LOT. We are looking for people to come in as instructors and grow with us. We are interested in individuals willing to learn with a great team of people passionate about young people, soccer, and creating magical moments for kids.

Soccer Shots is a program that introduces soccer to children ages 2-8 at preschools and day care centers all over the area. We continue to expand and seek great instructors to run sessions at school locations and community-wide programs open to public.

This is a seasonal position but we do value are coaches staying with us for multiple seasons and years. We are seeking individuals who have availability to coach 15-20 session/week Monday through Sunday. We also have positions for any candidates who may only be available 2-3 days per week. It can be somewhat flexible, depending on your schedule.

During the week, our sessions run typically during the day from 9 am to 4 pm. On weekends, we have Saturday and Sunday morning and afternoon programs in certain areas. Each class is 30-45 minutes long depending on the age group. We provide training, equipment, and all curriculum materials. We pay $20 for each session as a head coach, $15 as an assistant coach. At some locations, there will be multiple classes, meaning you could run 2 or even 3 classes in a row. This would double or triple your pay.

The ideal instructor meets the following criteria:

Responsible - arrives on time to each session, can handle a group of 10 or more children, keeps accurate attendance, communicates well with Soccer Shots director, etc.

Professional - neat in appearance, friendly and courteous with day care center staff and director, self assured

Caring - Wants to work and have impact with all children regardless of ability and background

HIGHLY ENTHUSIASTIC and a kid at heart - Must enjoy young kids, be able to connect with young children. Must be able to make the Soccer Shots class the best 40 minutes of their week.

Must be able to innovate on the fly!

Love of the game! Soccer background not required having some familiarity with the game either as a player or coach is helpful.

In addition to the above, a successful candidate must pass a Child Abuse History Clearance and Background Check and have reliable transportation in addition to participating in training sessions.
