    Soccer Shots DC/MD/VA (DMV) was established in 2010. Soccer Shots DMV stretches from Harford Co, MD to Prince William Co, VA. Offices are located in Laurel, MD, and Fairfax, VA. Soccer Shots DMV work closely with Soccer Shots Franchising National Headquarters in Middletown, PA.

    Job Description:

    The Director of Talent Development & Culture manages and coordinates the coaching department efforts to ensure that performance management & quality improvement programs and initiatives are developed and executed according to the organization’s strategic plan. The position will work within the department to oversee full life cycle recruitment of team members as well as maintain effective programs for retention, promotion and succession planning. The Director of Talent Development & Culture will have the following overall responsibilities:

    Leadership

    · Attract, develop, retain, and lead a high-functioning coaching department to execute the company’s strategic plan and deliver the best program to our families across DC/MD & VA

    · Set an example in the areas of personal character, commitment, communication, and work habits

    · Demonstrate excellent customer service and frequent and timely communication at all times

    · Conduct presentations and quarterly trainings

    · Empower all team members to make decisions, grow, improve the business and positively influence the culture

    · Prepare weekly meetings and quarterly performance reviews with team members

    · Contribute to the Leadership Team in weekly meetings, quarterly meetings, and annual planning strategy

    · Developing effective sourcing & recruitment strategies that result in client satisfaction.

    · Develop effective relationships within the organization and the hiring community to have influence and impact the recruiting process and hiring.

    Management

    · Implement performance management & quality improvement strategies to produce high performing, remarkable coaches and a high performing department

    · Manage the maintenance and execution of the performance management system, including job descriptions, standards of performance and evaluation measurements.

    · Manage full life cycle recruitment (post, source, screen, schedule, background, references, offer, onboarding etc). Complete hiring process within defined metrics to minimize overall time-to-start. Develop appropriate marketing strategies, define roles and responsibilities for the department and ensure there is an effective and efficient recruitment lifecycle while minimizing cost-per-hire.

    · Work with HR department to ensure compliance in background checks and company policies

    · Manage and develop entire team of coaches across DC/MD/VA including Coaching Coordinators

    · Responsible for managing the department’s budget as well as approving department’s payroll and time off requests

    · Oversee the Management of equipment, gear, and supplies

    · Executing seasons start weeks and in-season responsibilities

    · Continually assess and improve coaching department systems, processes, and policies in support of the organization’s business objectives

    Required education / experience:

    • 15+ years’ experience in leadership & HR or operation roles

    • 10+ years customer management experience

    • 10+ years in progressive management roles leading teams

    • Proven experience managing multiple projects with tight deadlines

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    • BA/BS required from a 4-year accredited university in Business or related field; MBA preferred
