Vice President of Franchise Operations
Reports to: Chief Operating Officer
Reports: Director of Franchise Operations Specialists, Program Development Specialist, Events and Project Management Specialist
Purpose: The VP of Franchise Operations (VP of FO) provides strategic direction to and direct leadership of the department responsible for 1) product development, 2) franchisee training, 3) franchisee operational support, and 4) franchise community events. Additionally, the VP of FO serves on the Leadership Team, which is responsible for the overall performance and success of SSF.
Role/Classification: This position is a full-time, exempt position requiring 40 hours of work per week. Expected working hours are Monday through Friday, between 8:30am and 5:00pm in the Middletown, PA office. Travel and additional hours will be required during events and busy seasons.

Responsibilities:
Provide leadership to Program Development Team to systematically strengthen Soccer Shots programs.
Enhance Soccer Shots coach training and education for the franchise system.
Consistently improve the Soccer Shots curriculum.
Evolve program offerings, continually seeking to innovate and improve.
Identify and develop most effective means of communication with Soccer Shots families.
Connect with and learn from leading coaching and education organizations to solidify Soccer Shots’ position as a leader in the industry.
Oversee the enhancement and execution of franchisee operations training and education.
Supervise the training team hosting Operations Training.
Consistently evolve initial franchisee training.
Identify franchise community training needs beyond initial franchisee training and find solutions to address needs.
Systematically improve operational processes and document updates in the Soccer Shots Operations Manual.
Provide strategic direction and supervision to the Operations Specialist Team responsible for on-going support to ensure successful franchises and a strong national brand.
Work with the Marketing Team to support franchise operators in driving program enrollment.
Provide operational support in all Soccer Shots-specific processes and systems.
Serve as the primary communication conduit among franchise partners and SSF, including but not limited to system changes, SSF announcements and product roll-outs.
Provide accountability at the franchise level to ensure program quality and uphold brand standards.
Involved with challenged franchisees in notice of default, franchise termination and transfer processes.
Identify opportunities to improve franchise-level leadership and team performance through best business practices.
Lead and support the Events and Project Management Specialist.
Plan and execute the Soccer Shots annual national convention.
Plan and execute all training events, regional council meetings, the leadership summit and all other events hosted by SSF for the franchise community.
Assign and oversee any projects specific to franchise operations.
Serve on the SSF Leadership Team.
Serve as an example of a core-culture fit. Cultivate a healthy culture among SSF.
Contribute to the annual strategic planning process.
Set and manage the annual budget for the department.
Participate in and contribute to sound business decisions for all of SSF.
Represent SSF at franchise community events.
Ensure healthy, respectful relationships with the franchise community.
Maintain open communication with franchisees.
Convey decisions and information in a timely, appropriate manner.
Education/experience:
Minimum 5 years in franchise support leadership within an established franchise system.
10-years minimum experience in executive level leadership role.
Experience in developing and executing training programs.
Minimum 4-year bachelor’s degree.
o Preferred degrees include, but are not limited to: Business, Finance, Management/Leadership.
Preferred MBA or post graduate-level business/leadership degree.

Evaluation and review:
Soccer Shots will perform an initial review after 60 days.
Goals and key performance measurables will be reviewed quarterly.
