    SSHY: Soccer Shots Harrisburg & York was founded by Jason Webb in 2002. The SSHY team helped launch the national franchise system in 2005 and are currently one of the largest and most successful Soccer Shots franchises in North America (out of 250+ Soccer Shots franchises). The SSHY team delivers Soccer Shots to over 100 local school partners and serves nearly 10,000 children per year. SSHY has offices in Middletown, PA, inside the Soccer Shots national support center.

    REPORTS TO: Director of Coaching

    ROLE/CLASSIFICATION: The GA position is a part-time, non-exempt position requiring 30 hours of work per week for approximately 45 weeks of the year. Working hours will vary from season to season but will usually consist of some daytime hours, some weekday evening hours, and Saturdays. There will be some required split shifts in the same day (i.e. 9am-12pm and 4-8pm).

    COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: Along with a $12,500 annual stipend, up to $5,250 may be earned each year as tuition reimbursement upon the completion of performance objectives. Gas allowance and IRA retirement match of 3% also provided.

    REQUIRED TRAITS AND COMMITMENTS: Soccer Shots GA’s must love children and soccer. GA’s should have work experience as a coach, teacher, instructor, or educator or should have academic experience in a related field. GA’s should be resourceful, professional, caring, and take initiative in their work. GA’s should be committed to a strong work ethic, should possess strong communication skills and must have a positive attitude.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Coaching:

    GA’s will coach an average of 26 sessions per week, per season, as assigned by supervisor.

    GA’s will complete all makeup sessions, as assigned by supervisor

    GA’s will attend four annual coaches meetings & the annual FUN Fest

    GA’s will record attendance for all sessions, upload photos to supervisor as requested, complete season certificates and high five cards (or similar), complete player evaluations, distribute prizes, and other duties assigned by supervisor

    GA’s will participate in the on-boarding and training of other Soccer Shots coaches

    Seasonal Responsibilities:

    Before each season, GA’s will assist in the launch of the upcoming season, which includes performing demos, attending marketing events, delivering flyers, packaging/fulfilling youth jerseys, organizing and distributing equipment and prizes, and other duties assigned by supervisor

    During seasons, in addition to coaching, GA’s will be assigned hours to “cover” which may include answering the phone, serving as a substitute coach, or performing other office duties assigned by supervisor.

    To close each season, GA’s will coach final makeup sessions, help collect and clean inventory, organize the warehouse, clean the futsal court, and perform other duties assigned by supervisor.

    Professional Training & Leadership Development:

    GA’s will dedicate approximately 1.5 hours each week towards Soccer Shots-prescribed training, including: learning GiANT Worldwide tools, learning EOS via Traction, attending “Soccer Shots University” webinars, and reading books.

    GA’s will have the option to voluntarily attend select courses offered in Soccer Shots Operations Training and may attend SSHY team meetings and activities upon invitation.

    Master’s Degree:

    GA’s must be enrolled in and working towards earning their Master’s degree in a subject field of their choice. Partial tuition reimbursement is provided upon your successful completion of coaching seasons and course work, as defined by supervisor.

    EVALUATION AND REVIEW: GA’s will check-in with their supervisor twice weekly. One bi-weekly check in must be in person. GA’s will have peer coaching evaluations each season and will have quarterly reviews with supervisor.
