    Position Summary: The Coaching Coordinator (CC) will assist with supervising, recruiting, training, evaluating, developing, and retaining new and veteran youth soccer coaches for our intro-to-soccer program for children ages 2-8. This position also plays a role in identifying training initiatives and ensures that all coaches are prepared to excel in delivering coaching sessions that are the best 30 - 45 minutes of each child’s week. As a Coach this person will deliver specific curriculum/early childhood education techniques along with age appropriate/fundamental skills of soccer. The delivery of the curriculum & fundamental skills of soccer is designed to be fun. Coaches are expected to focus on creating an enjoyable experience for both families and children. The Coach must understand when to adapt to the needs and interests of the group or individual. It is important to direct the sessions so that all children have opportunity to share in the benefits of participation. As the Coaching Coordinator this person will strive to create a positive coach culture that embraces the Core Values of Soccer Shots through a developed support and leaving a positive impact on every coach we hire. Accountability: COACH DEVELOPMENT - The Coaching Coordinator will assist in supervising, recruiting, hiring, training, on-boarding, developing, and retaining coaches. Such tasks include: active recruitment, networking for new hires, interviewing, scheduling and shadowing apprentices, co-leading sessions with coaches-in-training, leading coaching clinics and trainings and performance management. The CC will also lead the team in developing and implementing strategies to enhance coach engagement and retention. Remarkable coaches are the CC’s number one priority. CURRICULUM REVIEW - The CC is responsible for having a thorough knowledge of Soccer Shots curriculum and will train and evaluate coaches in its implementation. Training includes providing tips and tricks to Coaches on implementation. Evaluation includes identifying revisions to curriculum to ensure the delivery of exceptional programming. INSTRUCTOR ROLE - As the Soccer Shots CC, you will be required to coach at any IE East area site, per the direction of the Soccer Shots owner or Director, or per the need or absence of another instructor. In general, the CC will be expected to coach 15-20 sessions per season. SCHEDULING - The CC handles all aspects of scheduling coaches each season. This includes identifying and assigning coaches to meet program/school/park requirements; developing schedules to address coaching development; responding to and resolving unanticipated scheduling issues. The CC will be expected to work weekdays plus a half day Saturday morning and possibly a half day some Sunday mornings. SCHOOL MANAGEMENT AND RELATIONSHIPS - The CC will be responsible for helping with the management and relationships of schools currently overseen by the Soccer Shots office and any new sites. Maintaining and enhancing school relationships is a top priority of all team members at Soccer Shots. MARKETING SOCCER SHOTS - The CC will help to market Soccer Shots to the greater IE East community. PARENT COMMUNICATION AND CUSTOMER SUPPORT - Communication is a pillar of our Soccer Shots’ brand. The CC will support the communication with parents on the phone and through email. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

    Required Experience and Education

    High School Diploma or GED

    Experience coaching youth soccer

    CPR/First Aid Certified or willing to get certified within 30 days of hire

    CA State-Required Clearances: Candidate must be able to provide clear CA state clearances and clear FBI fingerprint clearance upon acceptance of an offer of employment.

    Have own reliable transportation and proof of auto insurance

    Be fully vaccinated and can show proof

    Preferred Experience and Education

    Bachelor's Degree

    Knowledge of early childhood curriculum and development best practices

    Experience with Macs and Numbers/Excel

    Physical / Work Environment Requirements

    Position functions in an outside sports environment a good portion of the time which may include temperatures of extreme heat or cold, depending on time of year.

    Work requires ability to run, stop, stoop, bend (a physical, exercise type regimen) in a minimum of 40-minute increments per session. Position requires use of hands, arms, legs, and feet and may include lifting up to 50 pounds on occasion. Moderate gymnasium like noises are associated with this position as well as excellent vision skills (with or without correction).

    This position requires driving in and around the Greater Inland Empire East area. Will be required to drive to multiple sites during the week and on weekends to coach and/or evaluate sessions and to fulfill other duties.
