Compensation starts at $15/session for head coaches and $10/session for assistant coaches. Each session is 30 to 45 minutes in length, depending on the particular age group.

Passionate, energetic, and fun-loving youth soccer instructors are needed to work with children ages 2 to 8 in the Laurel Highlands (Cambria, Indiana, Somerset and part of Westmorland County)

Soccer Shots is the #1 children’s fitness franchise in the country and the official 2-5 year old program of US Youth Soccer! Why? Aside from our incredible curriculum, leadership, and passion, it’s because we only hire the best instructors to work with our children. Working with children is something we don’t take lightly, and it’s imperative that you not only enjoy working with children, but that you are incredibly passionate about it. Sure, we want you to have some soccer skills and to be familiar with the game, but more importantly, can you handle a group of 10 three-year-olds? This is what truly separates Soccer Shots from everyone else - we are in this to impact children in such a way that we leave a lasting impression on them and give them the confidence to be successful both on and off the field. We want our 30 to 45 minute Soccer Shots sessions to be the BEST experience of each child’s week. If this excites you, read on to see how to become part of the #1 children’s fitness franchise in the country by joining our team and impacting the next generation.

We are looking to expand our team of instructors to accommodate our growth throughout the Laurel Highlands. We operate in day cares, preschools, community centers, etc. - throughout Cambria, Somerset, Indiana and part of Westmorland County. We're looking for both soccer lovers and those who don't have experience with soccer! Most important is that our coaches have previous experience with and an appreciation for young children.

We recruit on a rolling basis, and are currently preparing for the next of our four seasons. We operate year-round and offer four seasons: spring, summer, fall, and winter. Each season lasts for 8 weeks. This may be extended if we have weather cancellations during the regularly-scheduled season, as we must fulfill our obligation to offer an appropriate number of sessions each season. Coaches are expected to be available and present for all 8 weeks, as the kids and parents are dependent upon the consistent leadership that our coaches provide on a weekly basis.

We have private (daycare / school / preschool) sessions running mostly in the mornings Monday through Friday, with public programs being held in the evenings and on Saturday mornings. There is some flexibility in scheduling, meaning that if there are some morning or afternoons where you aren’t available, we can work around that. You’ll be at the same location(s) at the same times each week, and we need you to be committed for the entire 8-week season.

The more availability you have, the more sessions you can run and the more money you can make.

    Soccer Shots coaches are:

Safety-conscious, whose #1 priority is the safety of children under their care.

Caring, engaging with each child through specific and positive affirmation.

Organized, who plan ahead and are systematic in routine, conducting each session according to the lesson plan and working with children to maintain appropriate order for the age group.

Responsible, who are committed to doing what is expected of them as the coach and "face" of Soccer Shots.

Energetic, bringing Soccer Shots to life by creating a fun and exciting atmosphere that leads a child to smile and participate.

The job description above is a part time position requiring fewer than 30 hours of work per week. There is much flexibility with the position in terms of hours. The times would be set each week for the season, but one may only want to work 5 hours a week or up to 30 hours. Soccer Shots programs are offered during select weeks of the year, thus the employment is also seasonal. Employment as a coach for any particular season does not guarantee employment following the end of that season. All employment is at-will.

In addition to the above, a successful candidate must pass a Child Abuse History Clearance, PA Criminal Background check, and FBI Fingerprints.
