    The Director of Coaching (DOC) for Soccer Shots Little Rock is an individual who represents Soccer Shots to our coaching staff, promoting the company and its CORE values. The DOC will be responsible for bringing in new hires, as well as maintaining them once they become coaches for Soccer Shots.

    The DOC will oversee the entirety of the coaching department which includes but not limited to the hiring, training, maintaining the quality of the Soccer Shots program. The DOC role is a full-time position, requiring someone who is willing to work in a office environment, as well as having the ability to travel to our partner locations to cultivate and maintain a strong relationship with the entirety of the coaching staff and each of our partners.

    This position is designed for someone who has the ability to attract and lead a team of 10+ part time employees, as well as create relationships that promote trust and understanding amongst all employees. The DOC will be required to travel about 50% of the time. We currently serve at different locations from Conway down to Benton.

    Achieving Seasonal Staffing Goals - Identifying ApplicantsThe Director of Coaching will identify the number of coaches needed before the beginning of each season, and it is their responsibility to hire enough coaches for every location. The DOC will use various resources to hire those coaches such as;

    Managing the different recruitment websites and Coaches Pipline via Monday.

    Career fairs - There will be opportunities for the DOC to attend various job fairs, either through local colleges or community events, and the DOC is expected to attend as many of these as possible.

    Other Unique Opportunities. As the DOC for Soccer Shots Little Rock, you are encouraged to find other, unique opportunities to promote Soccer Shots and increase the number of qualified applicants. These may include posting yard signs or other marketing materials, posting to other social media accounts, or partnering with other local entities.

    Hiring

    Soccer Shots Little Rock has a process that the Director of Coaching should follow from the moment an application is received until an offer letter is accepted. It is up to the Director of Coaching to follow this process while suggesting any improvements that could be made.

    This process will include, initial applicant contact, phone interview, in-person interview, on-site assessment, offering of employment.

    Onboarding and Training New Hires

    The Director of Coaching will be responsible for onboarding all new hires and making sure all hiring paperwork is completed. This is one of the most important job responsibilities for the Director of Coaching, as aspects of this are time sensitive, and can result in long lasting legal consequences.

    Training New Coaches - The Director of Coaching will be responsible for creating the initial training schedule for all of their new hires, utilizing their own coaching schedule first, and then the coaching schedules of other qualified employees to fill out the applicant’s availability.

    If any locations require a new coach to take over before the Training Log is complete, if available, the DOC will accompany the new coach to those locations until Training is completed.

    Once the Training Log is complete, the Director of Coaching will give New Coaches the Final Exam Certification to progress them into Level 1 Coaches

    Ongoing Training/Evaluating

    Director of Coaching will hold 1-on-1 Trainings for all Trainees and Level 1 Coaches.

    Director of Coaching will be responsible for going to various locations where coaches may need additional assistance in order to provide additional training and/or feedback on how to improve the class.

    Create and Modify Training Plans. The DOC is responsible for coming up with individualized, specialized training plans for each Coach based on their availability.

    Scheduling

    The Director of Coaching will partner with the Program Coordinator before each season to create the coaching schedule for the upcoming season.

    They will also manage the day to day assessment of each coaches calendar

    Special Events

    The Director of Coaching will assist in planning and executing special events, promoting Soccer Shots and creating a fun environment for our Friends. Special events may occur on weekends or during the evening hours, which the Director of Coaching would need to make themselves available for. Special Events may include:

    Open Houses (7-9am and or 3-6pm)

    General Administrative Duties

    The Director of Coaching is expected to have ‘Office Hours’ during any hours during the workday that they are not coaching, training, or evaluating. This is a Full Time job requiring at least 40 hours of work per week and sometimes more during busy times. Additional duties that they may have may include:

    Office Hours: 9am-5pm
