Soccer Shots Long Beach is a youth enrichment program that teaches children ages 2-10 how to play soccer in a nurturing, child-focused environment. Being a Soccer Shots coach is fun, physically-active, and rewarding job that treats soccer as more than a game, but also a vessel through which each player can find their confidence and be inspired! Our engaging curriculum is aligned with the California Learning Foundations, and is focused on the development of skills that are crucial for both soccer and all other aspects of life.

Key Role: The part-time coach manages groups of children ages 2-10 years old and is responsible for coaching between 5-30 classes per week. A Part-Time Coach will also be trained in Operations and Marketing in order to provide excellent customer service on the field and in the community.

Job Summary:

Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to):

Coach between 5-30 classes

“First sub” 2-5 days a month

Provide a remarkable customer service experience on the field and in the community

Maintaining clear communication with schools and families (incident reports, phone calls home, weather cancellations)

Additional training in both Marketing and Operations departments

Attend monthly team meetings

Requirements:

Must be available 2-3 days per week plus Saturdays (mandatory)

Minimum of a 1-year commitment

Must complete a background check and LiveScan (clear record)

Must enjoy working with children, can be silly, and organized to complete administrative tasks on time

Must have strong communication skills

Minimum of 12 ECE (Early Childhood Education) Units- strongly preferred

Hours and Pay:

$20/session (or per hour for marketing)

$22/session if you have 12 ECE units

$1 raise at yearly anniversary
