Youth Soccer Coaches Needed for Children Ages 2-8

Working with children is something we don’t take lightly, and it’s imperative that you not only enjoy working with children, but that you are incredibly passionate about it. Sure, we want you to have some soccer skills and to be familiar with the game, but more importantly, can you handle a group of 10 three year olds? This is what truly separates Soccer Shots from everyone else - we are in this to impact children in such a way that we leave a lasting impression on them that will give them the confidence to be successful both on and off the field.

Soccer Shots is ramping up its operation, and we are looking to expand our team of instructors to accommodate our growth. We offer rewarding work, flexible hours and GREAT PAY. Soccer Shots is looking for candidates willing to cover our weekend park programs located in Nassau County and western Suffolk County

We are currently hiring for our Spring and Summer season.

Our coaches and assistant coaches serve as role models and mentors, embrace and exemplify our core values, and are able to solve problems. They are caring, patient, enthusiastic, reliable, love kids, physically active, and have knowledge of soccer.The ideal applicant must meet the following criteria:Passion & Experience Working with Children: Kid tested, kid approved! Responsible & Reliable: Arrives on time to each session, can handle a group of 10 or more children, communicates well with Soccer Shots directors and coaches etc.Professional: Neat in appearance, friendly and courteous with parents and childrenRemarkable: Enthusiastic and high energy. Must enjoy interacting with young kids, be able to connect with kids ages 2-8, make the Soccer Shots session the highlight of every child's week.Soccer Smarts: Official soccer experience is not required. However, having some familiarity with the game either as a player or coach will be helpful.Physical Demands & Work Environment: Soccer Shots classes require instructors to be physically fit and support an active lifestyle. The work environment during a typical class can be indoor or outdoor (weather permitting) and the noise level is usually moderate to loud.In addition to the above, a successful candidate must pass a Child Abuse History Clearance and Background Check.

Qualifications:

Have a desire to work with children, enthusiasm, patience, organization, maturity, dependability, and be responsible.

Have previous soccer or athletic experience and/or experience working with young children.

Be 18 years old or older.

Be available at the times when sessions are held.

Have reliable transportation to and from sessions.
