    WHAT YOU NEED:Soccer Shots staff must love kids and soccer. They should have leadership experience, teaching and/or early childhood education experience, and a background in soccer, both playing and coaching. Our Director of Coaching should have strong leadership, verbal and written communication skills, be organized, have great attention to detail and excellent computer skills (word, excel, powerpoint, etc..). Must have a positive attitude; be hungry, humble, and smart.

    WHAT WE PREFER:• Must love working with young children• Must have a passion for sports/soccer• College degree required in a related field• Minimum 5 years of youth coaching experience• 3 years of experience in sports management or a similar field• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

    WHO WE ARE:Soccer Shots is an engaging children’s soccer program (ages 2-8) with a focus on character development. Though we have grown, we are still a family business at heart-–we treat our employees like a team and the children we teach like our own. We are dedicated to providing high-quality, foundational soccer training that prepares children for a lifetime of soccer.

    Job Summary:

    The Director of Coaching ensures the direct success of each and every coach on the team through conscientious recruiting and continued training and support. The DOC ensures that coaching staff is in compliance with New York State Law and School/Site Regulations. This position requires exceptional team leadership skills and the ability to people manage, lead, think, and execute. The DOC is responsible for the delivery of a quality program as well as the professional demeanor, attitude, and appearance of the Soccer Shots Coach.

    Working Schedule: This is 5-day a week position, expected working hours are 8:30am to 4:30pm. Depending on the schedule, there are seasons that may require weekend and/or evening.

    During seasons, expected working hours are will vary. Approximately one month prior to the start of each season, schedules will be posted to the calendar. We will work with you to coordinate your schedule as early as possible. However, there are always last-minute changes and adjustments so some flexibility is needed. Start weeks, make up dates, special events, etc. are times when flexible hours and schedules are required. The position requires the ability to respond to last minute scheduling changes that may occur during non-office hours.
