The Coaching Coordinator will focus on training, performing observations and providing feedback, supporting Coaches with administration duties, holding Coaches accountable and coaching sessions is required. The position will provide recruiting support with input on hiring decisions, implement coach education, training and ongoing development, as well as ensure Coach retention through ongoing personal and professional development meetings. Supports HQ with administrative duties. The Coaching Coordinator ensures that the quality and consistency of programming is consistent with the Soccer Shots brand.
Responsibilities
On Field Experience / Program Consistency & Quality
Ability to state expectations and hold team accountable with consistent communication and follow through.
High level of understanding of children ages 2-8 to support team of coaches with class management, positive discipline, etc.
Oversee the initial training of new Coaches as well as the
Ongoing training and development of all Coaches
Ensure that Coaches receive clear expectations and the proper training to perform their job
Ongoing training on a seasonal basis to ensure that Coaching standards and consistency are met
Conducted one-on-one training, utilizing Master Coaches, when necessary
Responsible for organizing one team training per season.
Uphold and support coaching team with Soccer Shots curriculum
Training of proper safety measures
Using the Coach Observation form, perform on field observations to ensure the quality and consistency of each Coach
In person feedback provided to each Coach
Observations and feedback are provided twice each season
Customer service while out in the field
Administrative
Responsible for managing all task management platforms consistently throughout the day (monday, Google Drive, Google Calendar, Slack
Support coaches to ensure they perform their administrative duties in a timely manner
Assist in the Coach human resources process from recruitment through separation
Payroll support
Support CCLD compliance
Apparel and equipment inventory, orders and distribution
Storage unit management
Assist in coach scheduling
Recognize and celebrate team of Coaches
Coaching
Coach at a predetermined amount of partners on a scheduled seasonal basis, dependant on company needs
Coach at any Soccer Shots Partner to cover for Coach absences, following coach expectations (ie. safety, curriculum, arrival time, age appropriate, positive discipline, etc.)
Key Performance Measures
Prompt, reliable, and professional communication. Responds to Team Communication within 4-8 business hours, following the Communication Expectations.
Meets weekly, seasonal, and annual timelines and deadlines. Develops and follows systems to stay organized, keep good records, and be efficient with time.
Meets seasonal performance goals. Goes above and beyond expectations to develop a high quality team of coaches every season.
Adheres to all company policies and represents Soccer Shots with professionalism and integrity.
Preferred Education/Experience
College degree in a related field
Have, or be willing to begin to obtain, 12 Early Childhood Education/Child Development credits
Experience in a child development setting
Experience coaching children between 2 to 8 years old
Proficiency in productivity software (We use Monday, Google and Slack)
Early Childhood Education/Child Development credits, 12 preferred
Experience training soccer coaches
Child development background
Additional Expectations
Upon employment, Coaching Coordinator will consistently be enrolled in an ECE course until full 12 units are complete. This is essential to serve our customers and support our team of coaches.
Required Traits/Competencies
Must clear TB Test & Live Scan/Fingerprinting prior to employment
CPR & First Aid Certification within first 30 days
Must pass LiveScan background check with a clean record

Working Location
Coaching Coordinator will work primarily from the field (Soccer Shots Schools/Public Partners/Home) and approximately 1-2 days at the Soccer Shots Headquarters in El Segundo. The field area for this position runs from Calabasas on the west to Pasadena on the east. Required weekly meetings will take place in El Segundo and via video call. At times, Coaching Coordinator is required to stand, run, walk and communicate in an outdoor environment through the duration of work assignment.
Hours & Compensation
Coaching Coordinator will complete above duties and reach ideal goals working 40 hours per week. Weekend availability is required.
Position is full-time salary (non-exempt) with benefits (health insurance, dental insurance, time off, company holidays) by 90 days.
Salary range $35,000-$40,000 annually, depending on experience
