Our Full-Time Coaches are first and foremost early childhood educators who use soccer as a vehicle to positively impact children. They are key for creating “The Children’s Soccer Experience” along with representing the brand in a positive light and by doing so help to increase the number of families we serve. Behaving as a positive spokesperson, Full-Time Coaches embody the franchises identity in appearance, demeanor, values and ethics. Each Full-Time Coach is responsible for the health, safety, and enjoyment of each child enrolled in the program.

Responsibilities
Coaching
Deliver the Soccer Shots curriculum using early childhood education techniques while demonstrating consistency for School Partners and children
Preparation to ensure the safety of the “soccer island”
Set up of appropriate equipment in accordance with Soccer Shots standards
Arrive 15-25 minutes (depending on partnership type) prior to designated start time of session
Understand when to adapt to the needs and interests of the group or individual
Direct the sessions so that all children have an opportunity to share in the benefits of participation
Prepare in advance to deliver an amazing experience using our curriculum
Administrative
Record attendance on attendance sheets daily
Internal communication following response time expectations
Assist in the Coach human resources process from recruitment through separation
Prepare weekly child feedback to share with families
HQ Support
Provide support to the organization at SSLA HQ and in the field
Support including but are not limited to: HQ organization, inventory, marketing material printing, sorting and delivery, enrollment support, postcard delivery, communication with families, and event preparation
Key Performance Measures
Prompt, reliable, and professional communication. Responds to Team Communication within 4-8 business hours (Communication PPP).
Meets weekly, seasonal, and annual timelines and deadlines. Develops and follows systems to stay organized, keep good records, and be efficient with time.
Meets seasonal performance goals. Goes above and beyond expectations to develop a high quality team of coaches every season.
Adheres to all company policies and represents Soccer Shots with professionalism and integrity.
Preferred Education/Experience
ECE Credits - 12 credits OR 9 credits and enrolled in 3 credits

Working Location
Full-Time Coach will work primarily from the field (Soccer Shots School/Public Partners/Home) and when needed at the Soccer Shots Headquarters in El Segundo. Required weekly meetings will take place in El Segundo and/or via video call. At times, Full-Time Coach is required to stand, run, walk and communicate in an outdoor environment through duration of work assignment. Weekend availability is required.
Hours & Compensation
Full-Time Coach will complete above duties and reach ideal goals working 40 hours per week.
Position will begin full-time hourly (up to 40 hours/week) and transition to full-time salary (non-exempt) with benefits (health insurance, dental insurance, time off, company holidays) at 90 days.
Salary range $30,000-$35,000 annually, depending on education, prior experience, ECE units, observation score, etc.
