As a Coach, you will:
Deliver excellent lead coaching to 2-8 year-olds in up to 35 sessions a week
Help young athletes gain beginner soccer skills
Teach a plug-and-play content-rich curriculum, adding your flair, expertise, and personality
Develop children’s character and fitness on Soccer Island
Support Operations and Marketing teams

Salary range of $37,500 to $41,500, commensurate with experience

Priority to those who

Have obtained ECE credits or have an interest in pursuing ECE certification

This position reports to our Director of Coaching
Specific Coaching responsibilities include:
Lead up to 35 class sessions per week at local preschools and parks
Manage equipment
Take attendance
Engage families and school directors
Soccer Shots is a weekly soccer program for children 2-8 years old with a focus on character development. Sessions are taught in preschools, elementary schools, and parks throughout the week. Our themed sessions, which run 30-40 minutes, focus on age-appropriate skill-building and character development. We provide training, coaching equipment, and all coaching curricula materials. We seek applicants who exhibit passion, dedication, reliability, teamwork, creativity, a tolerance for mistake-making and thoughtful decision-making ability. Ideal candidates should possess strong interpersonal skills, a genuine enthusiasm for soccer and children's fitness, a deep connection to our brand, and a strong desire to contribute to the growth and development of the Los Angeles Soccer Shots community.

Experience a comprehensive certification training program, learning the use of developmentally appropriate coaching techniques
Complete 20+ hours of training consistent with the "Soccer Shots Way"
Engage and inspire children
Emphasize the importance of character development in addition to skill building
Stay current with childhood education standards
Undergo ongoing training, feedback and evaluation
