Through Soccer Shots, we've impacted thousands of children in and around our communities. We attribute much of our success to the dedicated, fun, and a little bit crazy team we've put together. We're passionate about what we do, and are looking to add people to our team who feel the same -- people who are fired up about the idea of impacting the next generation through the game of soccer.

Soccer Shots is a program that introduces soccer to children ages 2-8 at childcare centers, preschools, elementary schools and parks all over the Louisville area. We are currently expanding and need a few great coaches to help us run some sessions at a few of our centers. This is a part time position and can be somewhat flexible, depending on your schedule. The classes are during the week, typically in the morning before 11:00 or in the afternoon after 2:00. Each class is 30 to 40 minutes long. We provide training, equipment, and all curriculum materials. We pay $16 for each session you run. At some centers, there will be multiple classes, meaning you could run 2 or even 3 classes in a row. This would double or triple your pay.

The ideal coach meets the following criteria; Soccer Shots coaches are:

Safety-conscious, whose #1 priority is the safety of children under their care.

Caring, engaging with each child through specific and positive affirmation.

Organized, who plan ahead and are systematic in routine, conducting each session according to the lesson plan and working with children to maintain appropriate order for the age group.

Responsible, who are committed to doing what is expected of them as the coach and "face" of Soccer Shots (arrives on time to each session, can handle a group of 10 or more children, keeps accurate attendance, communicates well with Soccer Shots director, etc.)

Energetic, bringing Soccer Shots to life by creating a fun and exciting atmosphere that leads a child to smile and participate. Enthusiastic, must enjoy young children, be able to connect with children ages 2-8, must make the Soccer Shots class the best 30-40 minutes of their week

Professional, neat in appearance, friendly and courteous with day care center staff and director, self-assured

Soccer, no official soccer experience is required. However, having some familiarity with the game either as a player or coach will be helpful

In addition to the above, a successful candidate must pass a Child Abuse History Clearance and Background Check. We are currently seeking applicants for our upcoming spring season.
