    Coaching Coordinator Soccer Shots- Madison, WI (Dane County)$21 - $24/session- Part-time (Sessions range from 30-45 minutes long)

    Part-time / Flexible scheduleSoccer Shots is a non-competitive, character-focused soccer program that introduces soccer to children ages 2-8. We work on-site at preschools, daycare centers, and run public park programs in Dane County. We are seeking a Coaching Coordinator who will be a part of our leadership team and create a fun and positive learning environment for children and our coaches through soccer. Our sessions are once a week and as we intend to make it as convenient as possible for parents, we provide the program in several different locations around Dane County so the locations you will attend will be different depending on the day and time of the week. Our programs are seasonal, with a break in between each season. The Coaching Coordinator is responsible for representing Soccer Shots in the local community. This is a part time position, requiring someone to commute to various locations in Dane County to coach. You will join a small leadership team of highly dedicated and committed individuals seeking to deliver an excellent program and service in the community. This team values a strong work ethic, a commitment to the mission of Soccer Shots, strong oral communication skills, dedication to customer satisfaction, attention to detail, and creativity. In addition, we are seeking an individual who desires to improve and grow our program. WHAT YOU GET:

    $21 - $24/session when coaching (expect around 18-23 sessions/week)

    $15/hour for admin hours (expect around 4-6hrs/week)

    Career opportunities (future FT positions and/or admin/management positions)

    Flexible scheduling – we can work around your availability as long as it is consistent every week for a season (each season lasts 2-3 months). This position requires availability for 3 weekday mornings and 3 weekday evenings per week and Saturday mornings sessions are mandatory.

    Coaching equipment, attire, and curriculum material

    Comprehensive paid Training- 20 hours of training expected.

    WHAT YOU NEED:

    Must love kids and have a passion to impact them (loving soccer is a bonus)!

    Dependable: Must be willing to commit to, at minimum, three seasons; we need an honest and true commitment.

    Responsible: Arrives at least 15-20 minutes early to each session; comes prepared with lesson plan memorized; can handle a group of 10 or more young children (ages 2-8); keeps accurate attendance; well organized.

    Professional: Neat in appearance; friendly and courteous with school staff and directors and parents; self-assured and confident.

    Enthusiastic: Must enjoy interacting with young children (2–8 years old); able to connect with children and communicate on their level. You must be very outgoing, animated, and able to be silly with the children. There is no room for shyness or reserved behavior; we need ENTHUSIASTIC instructors!

    Growth-oriented: Soccer Shots vision is to provide a great quality experience to as many children as possible. This will require expansion of the program to other locations, training, and management of new coaches

    Soccer or other athletic / sports experience: Soccer experience is desired, but no special coaching license is required.

    A mix of daytime, weekday evenings, and weekend mornings availability is required for this position

    Reliable PERSONAL transportation and valid driver's license

    High School Diploma

    Must be CPR certified

    WI State-Required Clearances: Candidate must pass DCF background check

    Eligible to work in the U.S.

    A DAY IN THE LIFE:

    Coaching:

    Safely manage a class of up to 12 children (ages range from 2-8)

    Implement our curriculum which focuses on skill and character development

    Arrive on time at your locations and provide a positive customer experience to faculty and families

    Maintain equipment and manage your class rosters

    Coach Development:

    Assist in recruiting, training, on-boarding, developing, and retaining coaches.

    · -Manage Park Locations: Manage and oversee public program locations. Responsibility includes supervising coaches and being the point of contact for families.

    Marketing and Communications:

    Performing seasonal marketing/promotions - running program demos, distributing flyers, and setting up tables at schools and parks.

    Representing Soccer Shots at industry events, Free Fun Days, open houses, etc.

    Account Management:

    Responsible for helping with the management and relationships of schools and any new sites. Maintaining and enhancing school relationships.

    HOURS: Coaching shifts: Must be available for 3 weekday morning shifts and 3 weekday afternoon/evening shifts. Hours for the fall are: 9:00am-12:00pm and 4:00-7:00pm. Must also be available on Saturdays 8:30am - 12:00pm (mandatory). Sundays 9:00am-12:00pm (optional). Plus at least four office hours per week.
