Working with children is something we don't take lightly, and it's imperative that you not only enjoy working with children, but that you are incredibly passionate about it. Sure, we want you to have some soccer skills and to be familiar with the game, but more importantly, can you handle a group of 12 three year olds? This is what truly separates Soccer Shots from everyone else - we are in this to impact children in such a way that we leave a lasting impression on them that will give them the confidence to be successful both on and off the field. We want our 35-minute Soccer Shots sessions to be the BEST 35 minutes of each child's week.     Soccer Shots is ramping up its operation, and we are looking to expand our team of instructors to accommodate our growth.We have sessions running Monday through Saturday, mornings and evenings. There is some flexibility in scheduling; meaning that if there are some morning or afternoons where you aren't available, we can work around that. However, once your schedule is set with us, it won't change. You'll be at the same locations at the same times each week, and we need you to be committed for the entire season.

    We are continually hiring for all seasons, each lasting a minimum of 8 weeks. This may be extended if we have weather cancellations what we'll need to make up. We're hiring now so we can use the next several weeks to train you, and bring you on board as we prepare for the upcoming season.

    Each instructor starts out at $18/session, with opportunity to increase. We are looking specifically for Saturday coaches, however, the more availability you have, the more sessions you can run, the more money you can make.Reports to: Executive DirectorMission: Our mission is to be the premier intro to soccer provider across the globe and to do so in such a way that it leaves a lasting impact on the youth we serve.Motivation: Our motivation is to impact children in both soccer education and character development with application to all areas of children's lives. We are motivated by a desire to see kids experience the game of soccer and to enjoy the rewards that participation in the game offers.Soccer Shots coaches are the faces of Soccer Shots. Our success as an organization and nationally respected brand is dependent on the exemplary performance of excellent coaches. We define excellence as deliberate actions, ordinary in themselves, performed consistently & carefully, compounded together, and added up over time.

    It is a instructor's responsibility to manage and direct all duties related to the operation of a Soccer Shots session, including, but not limited to, the following:

    Preparation:

    Attends required coaches meetings

    Knows curriculum prior to session

    Maintains equipment in proper condition and arrives prior to the start of each session to set up the "field" before session begin

    Brings attendance sheet to every session

    Organizes children into approved-sized groups and does not miss any registrants

    Coaching:

    Ensures the safety and well-being of every child, first and foremost.

    Retrieves and returns children (per site process) for each session. No child is ever left alone.

    Follows proper on site protocol for each location, as provided by supervisor and/or site director.

    Conducts high-energy, fun, 35-minute sessions, following the proper weekly Soccer Shots lesson plan.

    Communication/Administration:

    Communicates in a timely fashion with supervisor about any changes, challenges, or important information.

    Records attendance online upon completion of coaching.

    Submits time sheet per payroll policy.

    Returns equipment and leftover supplies to supervisor upon completion of each season.

    Role/Classification:

    The job description above is a part time position requiring fewer than 30 hours of work per week. There is much flexibility with the position in terms of hours. The times would be set each week for the season,but one may only want to work 5 hours a week or up to 30 hours. Soccer Shots programs are offered during select weeks of the year, thus the employment is also seasonal. Employment as a coach for any particular season does not guarantee employment following the end of that season. All employment is at-will.

    Physical/work Environment Requirements:This position functions in an inside/outside sports environment a majority of the time. Work requires ability to run, stop, stoop, bend (a physical, exercise type regimen) in a minimum of 40-minute increments per session. The position requires use of hands, arms, legs and feet and may include lifting up to 50 pounds on occasion. Moderate gymnasium-like noises are associated with this position as well as excellent vision skills (with or without correction.)

    Program Objectives:

    For Soccer Shots to be the best run, most popular, and most successful elective program offered in St. Joseph, Elkhart, and Marshall counties.

    For Soccer Shots to have a reputation of excellence (i.e. "that's the group that does that awesome soccer program. . .my children loved it. . .those coaches are great"). An objective measure of each territory's reputation for quality will be learned in the Net Promoter Score survey conducted at the end of each fall and spring season.

    Commitments:Soccer Shots coaches are committed to representing Soccer Shots in a fashion consistent with descriptions in the company's Brand Book and Instructor Handbook. Compensation is based on performance, and employment with Soccer Shots is on an "at-will" basis, which enables you or the Company to terminate employment at any time for any non-discriminatory reason including failure to meet Company expectations.Program Performance Evaluation and Reviews:Soccer Shots may perform an initial evaluation and review within 60 days.In addition to the above, a successful candidate must pass a Child Abuse History Clearance and IN Criminal Background check.
