    Soccer Shots Sacramento, LLC has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Program Coordinator who enjoys finding solutions, and innovating for complex problems. Soccer Shots is a fast-paced environment and is looking for someone who thrives with the challenges and novelty of handling the day-to-day operations. In this Program Coordinator role, you will perform various administrative duties, be the primary contact for customers and site contacts, and keep the office and team organized (be it inventory, office supplies, or calling others up).

    Soccer Shots

    Soccer Shots is a fast-growing, intro-to-soccer program offered throughout Sacramento, El Dorado and Placer Counties. Through relationships established with child care centers, elementary schools and public locations (i.e. parks & community centers), Soccer Shots is currently serving between 800-1000 children between the ages of 2 and 8 years old each season (fall, winter, spring and summer).

    Position Overview

    The Program Coordinator joins a small leadership team of highly dedicated and committed individuals seeking to deliver an excellent program and service in the community. The PC manages customer service, office operations, plays a key role in marketing efforts and coaches as needed. This position “sets the tone” for all parent, school, and community interactions and requires diplomacy, problem solving, and a commitment to delivering excellent service.

    In addition, we are seeking an individual who desires to improve and grow Soccer Shots Sacramento and who desires advancement opportunities and responsibilities within the company.

    DUTIES

    Operations & Administration:

    Scheduling four program seasons (fall, winter, spring and summer) and preparing all materials to promote each season.

    Maintaining the master instructor schedule, handling cancellations and reschedules.

    Helps prepare seasonal marketing items

    Prepares and assembles participant certificates and prizes

    Assists in equipment-set preparation, distribution, and collection

    Assesses inventory of equipment, prizes, and supplies and submits necessary orders

    Primary contact for school directors and parents

    Customer Service (answering phone calls, emails in a timely manner)

    Collecting, organizing and filing of required signed paperwork for all staff and maintaining accurate and complete staff files.

    Assists in staff events, including routine meetings as well as special events

    Maintains and provides instructor credentials, insurance certificates, permits/facility agreements, to all child care centers/public locations as needed

    Assisting in new coach orientation, reviewing policies and paperwork with new coaches

    Help implement and improve administrative procedures

    Marketing and Communications:

    Performing seasonal marketing/promotions

    Outgoing communications with parents, directors, and other account representatives

    Responsible for planning and representing Soccer Shots at community events, Family Fun Days, etc.

    Coaching

    Able to coach 2-3 classes per week and sub as needed (we provide internal training!)

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Teachable

    MAC OS, PC, and Microsoft Office proficiency

    Excellent and super FUN interpersonal skills

    Be willing to coach 1-3 classes per week (internal training provided!)

    Role/Classification

    The job description above is a part-time position requiring a minimum of 20-25 hours of work per week. Typical/expected working hours are Monday through Friday, 8am to 12pm. During busy seasons, it will be necessary to work additional hours, including some weekday evenings and some Saturday mornings to meet deadlines and goals.

    Salary Compensation

    Soccer Shots will pay the Program Coordinator $18-20/hr (DOE). Compensation for any assigned duties or tasks are included in the hourly rate. A minimum average of 20-25 hours per week are to be maintained and accounted for by the Program Coordinator in order to fulfill the part-time status.

    Benefits

    After the first 3 months of employment, the Program Coordinator will be eligible for Sick Leave and medical benefits. In addition, Soccer Shots observes the following Holidays (office closed): Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving (Thurs & Fri), Christmas/New Years break (typically 9 days), and Presidents’ Day (approx 15 days/year).

    Physical/Work Environment Requirements

    Functions in a temperature controlled office environment the majority of the time.

    Work requires ability to sit, stand and walk throughout an extended work day; position requires use of fingers, hands and arms on a consistent basis for keyboarding and phone work; position may need to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion; excellent vision skills (with or without correction) are required. The standard office environment has moderate noise levels associated with computer equipment, team-members and phone conversations.

    Position functions occasionally in an inside/outside sports environment a portion of the time throughout the year which may include temperatures of extreme heat or cold.

    Work requires ability to run, stop, stoop, bend (a physical, exercise type regimen) in a minimum of 40 minute increments per coaching session. Moderate gymnasium like noises are associated with this position as well as excellent vision skills (with or without correction).

    This position requires occasional driving in and around the Greater Sacramento area to assist with marketing efforts and team support.
