Youth Soccer Coaches Needed for Children Ages 2-8

Through engaging curriculum and an emphasis on character development, our community of coaches work hard to give children the best soccer experience possible. Please note: Soccer Shots Sacramento does not hire seasonal coaches. Consistency is extremely important for children so we ask for a minimum of a 2-3 season commitment from every hired coach (approximately 6-8 months).

WHAT YOU GET

Compensation: Once training is complete ($15/session), lead coaches start at $20 per session + light administrative tasks. Opportunities for pay increases are available based upon certain criteria (i.e. ECE certified, experience, tenure, etc). Gas reimbursements.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Responsible: Arrives on time to each session, can handle a group of 10 or more children, keeps accurate attendance, communicates well with Soccer Shots Director of Coaching, etc.

Professional: Neat in appearance, friendly and courteous with day care center staff and director as well as parents, self-assured.

Enthusiastic: Must enjoy interacting with young children (2 – 8 years old), and be able to connect with them on their level, making the Soccer Shots class the best 35 minutes of their week. You must be very outgoing and animated; able to be silly with the children.

Caring: Engages with each child through specific and positive affirmation.

Soccer: Soccer experience is preferred, however, if you are great with children and have some familiarity with the game, that would work.

Working with children: Must be able to engage and interact with 2-8 year olds, and have experience doing so. This is very important.

In addition to the above, a successful candidate must pass a Child Abuse History Clearance and Background Check, be at least 18 years of age, and have a valid driver license and reliable transportation.

Soccer Shots Sacramento has been serving the greater Sacramento community for over 5 years (currently serving 2500+ children yearly) and we are looking to expand our team of instructors to accommodate our growth. We operate in daycares, preschools, community centers, parks, etc, and currently need coaches at sites in El Dorado Hills, Folsom, Rocklin, Roseville, Granite Bay, Orangevale, Fair Oaks, and Citrus Heights.

Soccer Shots is an engaging children’s (ages 2-8) soccer program with a focus on character development. Though we have grown, we are still a family business at heart – we treat our employees like a team and the children we teach like our own.
