    Reports to:​ Integrator

    Direct Reports:​ Program Coordinator, 2 Marketing and Events Assistants, Marketing Interns/Volunteers

    Key Role:

    The Director of Sales and Marketing encompasses, emphasizes, and delivers on business development goals. They do so by utilizing marketing platforms, holding events, and nurturing relationships within the community of San Diego. They live the Soccer Shots Core Values and believe in the mission; Providing a safe and fun environment for children to grow physically, socially, and emotionally through the game of soccer. They communicate the Soccer Shots Franchising Brand Promise to existing and potential families to grow the company and brand. This role is a driving part of the success of each Coach, location, and family served. The Director of Sales and Marketing is a true business developer, ensuring the healthy growth of the organization in customers.

    Hours and Pay:

    Full time position (40 hours per week) that includes

    Pay range: $52K-62K, plus commission on gross sales and new locations. Quarterly performance bonus, profit share opportunity based on KPI’s. DOE, 40 hours per week, plus mileage reimbursement

    Duties and Responsibilities (to include but not limited to):

    Sales:

    Oversee sales department and current relationships with all schools and parks in conjunction with the Lead Programs Coordinator.

    Manages online platforms including weekly email messaging.

    Oversees all business development and marketing accountabilities.

    Continually streamlines processes and systems for better productivity.

    Responsible for total children served seasonally and annually.

    Communicates the need for new Coaches to Human Resources.

    Responsible for weekly and biweekly 1:1s with direct reports and Integrator.

    Integral part of Leadership Team L10s (EOS Traction by Gino Wickman).

    Brings market issues to L10 team to solve and resolve issues.

    Marketing and Events:

    Accountable for the management and increased engagement with relevant followers on all Social Media platforms.

    Manages all internal events and celebrations

    Accountable for 2 tournaments per quarter.

    Accountable for external events that partner with Padres, SD Wave FC, Sockers, etc to fundraise for our give back projects

    Manages and mentors the Marketing and Events Team.

    Loves planning and executing timelines and calendars

    Highly organized

    Extremely personable and able to work with different personalities

    Able to mentor young adults and grow their careers

    Ability to multitask and prioritize

    Knowledge of child development or willing to gain knowledge

    Leadership by influence not by authority

    Must be physically able to demonstrate soccer skills and movements during classes

    Requirements:

    Ability to lift 40 pounds

    Coach 4-7 sessions (everyone in the organization coaches)

    Professional in attitude and appearance

    Growth mindset

    1-4 Years experience of outside sales - business to business

    1-4 Years of experience in managing a sales or marketing team minimum (or other proof of leadership of teams)

    Understand sales cycles

    1-4 Years of events and/or marketing experience for brands/businesses

    A reliable vehicle in order to travel to classes all over San Diego and San Diego County (We serve Escondido to San Ysidro)

    Proof of a TB negative test within the past 2 years from the date of hire

    Proof of Tdap vaccination within the past 10 years

    Do not need proof of Covid vaccines

    Proof of 12 Early Childhood Education (ECE) units or completed within 6 months of hire

    Proof of Pediatric CPR Certification must be completed within 2 months of hire

    Completion of the Mandated Reporter Training; certification required from www.mandatedreporterca.com

    Must already live in San Diego at time of application

    Must be available on 11/1/22 for team interview

    Expected Hire Date: 11/10/22

    Employment contingent on a cleared background check with the FBI, DOJ, Social Service Department and references.
