    Soccer Shots Sonoma has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Program Coordinator who enjoys finding solutions and innovating for complex problems. Soccer Shots Sonoma is a California Education System-accredited program that offers soccer programming for kids from 2-8 years old. More than the sport, our program focuses on building character values on and off the field. It is a fast-paced environment and is looking for someone who thrives in the challenges and novelty of handling day-to-day operations. In this Program Coordinator role, you will perform various administrative duties, be the primary contact for customers, while keeping the office and team organized.

    Position Overview

    The Program Coordinator joins a small leadership team of highly dedicated and committed individuals seeking to deliver an excellent program and early childhood education service to the Sonoma County community. The PC manages customer service, office operations, plays a key role in marketing efforts, and coaches. This position sets the tone for all parent, school, and community interactions and requires diplomacy, problem solving, and a commitment to delivering excellent service.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Operations & Administration:

    Schedule four program seasons (fall, winter, spring and summer) and preparing materials to promote each season, coordinating with our marketing teams.

    Maintain a master instructor schedule, handling cancellations and reschedules.

    Help prepare seasonal marketing items

    Prepare and assemble participant certificates and prizes

    Assist in equipment-set preparation, distribution, and collection

    Assess inventory of equipment, prizes, and supplies and submitting necessary orders for restocking

    Be the primary contact for school directors and parents within your area

    Manage office communication (emails and phone calls)

    Collect, organize and file required signed paperwork for all staff and maintaining accurate and complete staff files.

    Assist in staff events, including routine meetings, as well as special events

    Maintain and provide instructor credentials, insurance certificates, permits/facility agreements, to all childcare centers/public locations, as needed

    Assist in new coach orientation by reviewing policies and paperwork with new coaches

    Help implement and improve administrative procedures

    Marketing and Communications:

    Join the team in seasonal marketing/promotions

    Manage outgoing communications with parents, directors, and other account representatives

    Plan and represent Soccer Shots Sonoma at community events, Family Fun Days, etc.

    Coaching:

    Coach 12-15 classes per week and sub as needed (we provide internal training!)

    QUALIFICATIONS

    High School diploma

    MAC OS, PC, and Microsoft Office proficiency

    Excellent and FUN interpersonal skills

    Role/Classification

    The job description above is a part-time position requiring a minimum of 15-25 hours of work per week. There is strong potential for this role to become full-time within 3-6 months, if desired. Typical/expected working hours are Monday through Saturday, 8am to 12pm. During busy seasons, it will be necessary to work additional hours, including some weekday evenings.

    Salary Compensation

    Soccer Shots will pay the Program Coordinator $18.50/hr. Compensation for any assigned duties or tasks are included in the hourly rate. A minimum average of 15-25 hours per week are to be maintained and accounted for by the Program Coordinator in order to fulfill the part-time status.

    Physical/Work Environment Requirements

    Work requires the ability to sit, stand and walk throughout an extended work day; position requires use of fingers, hands and arms on a consistent basis for keyboarding and phone work; position may need to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion; excellent vision skills (with or without correction) are required. The standard office environment has moderate noise levels associated with computer equipment, team-members and phone conversations.

    Position functions occasionally in an inside/outside sports environment a portion of the time throughout the year which may include temperatures of extreme heat or cold.

    Work requires ability to run, stop, stoop, bend (a physical, exercise type regimen) in a minimum of 40 minute increments per coaching session. Moderate gymnasium-like noises are associated with this position as well as excellent vision skills (with or without correction).

    This position requires occasional driving in and around the Sonoma area to assist with marketing efforts and team support.
