    What is Soccer Shots? Soccer Shots is an engaging children's soccer program for children ages 2-8 with a focus on character development. Our caring team positively impacts children's lives on and off the field through best-in-class coaching, curriculum and communication. We coach at over 300 locations around the Twin cities, and our goal is to reach 20,500 children in the year 2024.

    Soccer Shots® is the soccer experience for children, using an acclaimed recreational curriculum and great coaches. Through the beautiful game, we aim to develop character, motor skills, and teamwork. Our team believes children are invaluable and our goal is simple: leave a lasting, positive impact on every child we serve.

    We are looking for a motivated individual who is highly organized, detailed, and passionate about our mission. The coaching coordinator is responsible for building supportive relationships with coaching staff through 1:1 training, evaluating and developing. This person is highly organized, caring, patient, positive and committed to helping people reach their potential. The coaching coordinator assumes a “team captain" position in which they are thought of as a role model for new and experienced coaches.

    The following is a list of the Coaching Coordinator responsibilities:

    Manage and mentor an average of 25 part-time coaches

    Conduct coach evaluations

    Conduct 1:1 coach check-ins

    Train new coaches

    Provide coaches with needed equipment, participant prizes and marketing materials

    Actively take part in the coaching department tasks related to the successful rollout of each soccer season

    Collaborate with training coordinator regarding coach orientations and onboarding

    Keep coaches accountable to program and brand standards

    Collaborate with Soccer Shots directors and fellow coordinators regarding season planning and improvement of program quality

    Coach up to 20 sessions per week.

    Physical/work environment requirements:

    Functions in a temperature-controlled office environment a portion of the time. Work requires ability to sit, stand and walk throughout an extended work day (8 – 10 hours); position requires use of fingers, hands and arms on a consistent basis for keyboarding and phone work; position may need to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion; excellent vision skills (with or without correction) are required. The standard office environment has moderate noise levels associated with computer equipment, customers and phone conversations. Position may occasionally have the need to be exposed to an inside/outside sports environment. Work requires ability to run, stop, stoop, bend (a physical, exercise type regimen) in a minimum of 40-minute increments per session. Moderate gymnasium like noises are associated with this position.

    Work Schedule

    The expected working hours are 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 7a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturday. Hours may be altered to 8:30-5:00pm Monday-Friday during weeks where no Saturday park sessions are running. In addition, start weeks, make-up dates, special events, etc., are times when flexible hours are needed.

    Work Location

    All directors and coordinators typically work from the Soccer Shots office in Oakdale Minnesota.

    Classification

    This is a full-time and salaried position. Minimum of 40 hours a week is required, with additional hours sometimes needed to meet deadlines and goals.

    Prompt, reliable, and professional communication. Responds immediately to coaches, customers (parents, program partners), supervisor, and other support staff within 24 hours.

    Meets weekly, seasonal, and annual timelines and deadlines. Develops and follows systems to stay organized, keep good records, and be efficient with time.

    Meets seasonal performance goals. Goes above and beyond expectations to promote the Soccer Shots brand.

    Adheres to all company policies and represents Soccer Shots with professionalism and integrity.

    Able to manage, engage and interact with up to ten 2-8 year-olds, and has experience doing so.

    Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree Previous experience with the sport of soccer

    Experience with Google suite

    In addition to the above, a successful candidate must pass a Child Abuse History Clearance and Background Check.
