Social Catering - Wedding Sales Manager
The DoubleTree Charlotte City Center is hiring an upbeat sales professional for the position of Social Catering-Wedding Sales Manager. We're open to highly motivated individuals with some experience who are ready to learn from the best. The Social Catering-Wedding Sales Manager sells venue spaces, manages client relationships, and hits revenue goals for bookings and events. The Social Catering-Wedding Sales Manager drives venue revenue by finding new clients, conducting tours, and closing contracts for weddings and social events. They act as the main link between the couple and the venue's operations team. Responsibilities: Sales & Prospecting: Find new leads, answer inquiries quickly, and meet booking goals. Client Tours: Show the venue to couples and explain packages, pricing, and options. Contracts & Proposals: Write custom proposals, negotiate terms, and sign contracts. Cross-Team Collaboration: Work with culinary, banquet, and housekeeping teams to plan details like menus and room blocks. Event Handover: Complete Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and hand details smoothly to the day-of operations or execution team. Market Trends: Track local wedding trends and competitor pricing to stay competitive. Qualifications: Experience: 1 year or more of experience in hospitality, catering sales, or event management. Education: High school diploma required; a bachelor's degree in business or hospitality is often preferred. Software Skills: Knowledge of CRM and event software like Tripleseat, Delphi, or Salesforce. Soft Skills: Strong negotiation, communication, and organization skills. Schedule: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
