Why you'll love this Role:
As the Social Media Assistant, you will support our Social Media Manager in developing engaging content and growing Shabby Fabrics' presence across multiple platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and Pinterest. This role requires a mix of creativity, communication skills, and customer service experience to ensure our brand voice shines through every post and interaction.
You'll help craft visuals, write posts, and engage with our community while keeping up with trends and analytics to ensure our content connects with our audience. The ideal candidate is proactive, adaptable, and able to think creatively to solve problems in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and implementing social media strategies to grow our online presence.
- Create engaging visual and written content for Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest, and other platforms.
- Draft and schedule posts to maintain a consistent daily posting schedule.
- Engage with followers by responding to comments and messages in a friendly, professional tone.
- Monitor and report on analytics and performance insights to help guide future strategies.
- Stay current on social media trends, best practices, and new tools.
- Collaborate with the creative team to develop fresh content ideas and campaigns.
- Support other departments as needed when workload allows.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of social media marketing experience.
- Previous customer service experience required.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and an approachable, friendly manner.
- Ability to think creatively and solve problems independently.
- Flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Team-oriented attitude with the ability to also work independently.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with social media analytics and insights reporting.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom, Premiere Pro).
- Experience using Canva for graphic design.
Schedule
- Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:00pm
