Social Media Content Coordinator & Graphic Designer

Reports To: Marketing/Communications & Enrollment Director

Position Type: Hybrid (In-Studio Requirement: Minimum 10 hours per week)

About the Role

Fusion Dance Centre and Ensemble Performing Arts are seeking an experienced, creative _ ___Social Media Content Coordinator & Graphic Designer to bring our brand and dance community to life across social media. This role reports to the Marketing/Communications & Enrollment Director and collaborates with the Fusion team.

This hands-on role owns the day-to-day execution of social content, from developing ideas and capturing content to creating, publishing, and engaging with our audience.

We're looking for someone who understands our audience, knows what makes people stop scrolling, and can turn everyday studio moments into engaging content that builds community and supports enrollment.

What You'll Do

Social Media & Content

• ****Develop fresh, relevant content ideas based on Fusion's audience, programs, events, goals, and current trends
• Help plan and execute the social media content calendar
• Capture photo and video content during classes, events, performances, and everyday studio moments
• Create and edit Reels, Stories, posts, carousels, and short-form video for Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok
• Write engaging hooks, captions, calls-to-action, hashtags, and on-screen text
• Schedule, post, and publish content across Fusion's social platforms
• Use storytelling and emotion to connect with current and prospective families, dancers, and our local community
• Proactively identify content opportunities rather than waiting for assignments
• Stay current on social trends, audio, platform updates, and best practices while knowing what fits the Fusion brand
• Monitor audience engagement and support campaigns tied to enrollment, programs, events, and performances
• Track key performance metrics and use insights to improve future content
• Maintain an organized photo, video, and content library

Graphic Design

• Create branded digital and print graphics, including social content, flyers, posters, signage, email graphics, and promotional materials
• Create reusable templates and maintain visual brand consistency
• Adapt creative concepts across social, email, print, and in-studio formats
• Work comfortably in Canva; Adobe Creative Suite or similar experience is a plus

What We're Looking For

Previous professional social media experience is required. Candidates should have experience creating and publishing content for a business, organization, or professional brand.

The ideal candidate :

• Has experience in a social media and content creation
• Understands Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Reels, Stories, and short-form video
• Has hands-on experience creating, scheduling, posting, and publishing content
• Understands audience, storytelling, trends, hooks, engagement, and calls-to-action
• Has strong photo/video capture and short-form video editing skills
• Has graphic design experience and is proficient in Canva
• Is creative, proactive, organized, and consistently meets deadlines
• Can manage multiple projects and occasional 24–48 hour turnaround times
• Is comfortable working around children, teens, families, faculty, and staff
• Appreciates arts education and understands how to represent a family-focused brand

Preferred: Experience with performing arts, sports, youth programs, education, events, fitness, or family-focused brands. Previous experience working with children or dance is a plus.

Schedule & Hybrid Expectations

This is a hybrid position with both in-studio and remote responsibilities.

Availability Required : (Monday–Friday: 3:00 PM–8:00 PM ; Weekends: 9:00 AM–1:00 PM )

A minimum of 10 hours per week must be completed in the studio for content capture, collaboration, and real-time coverage. Remaining responsibilities may be completed remotely. Evening and weekend availability is essential, with schedules varying based on classes, events, performances, and content needs.
