The World Equestrian Center is hiring a Social Media Content Creator/ Manager to join our team. This person is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive social media strategy to enhance the visibility and engagement of World Equestrian Center equestrian events. This role requires strong storytelling skills and a hands-on approach to content creation, including filming, editing, and publishing social-first content. The ideal candidate will be equally comfortable behind the camera, in the editing suite, and managing online communities.
Primary Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a strategic content plan for WEC-owned horse shows to maximize audience engagement, brand awareness, and revenue-driving conversions.
Maintain a consistent posting schedule across key platforms (Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube), adapting content for each platform.
Capture real-time photo and video content at horse shows using professional-grade equipment, ensuring compelling, high-quality visuals.
Film and edit short-form and mid-length video content (Reels, highlights, athlete/trainer features, behind-the-scenes coverage, etc.).
Deliver quick-turnaround edits for short-form content (Reels, Shorts, etc.) to ensure timely posting during and immediately after events.
Produce digital advertising videos and paid social content to promote WEC equestrian events, ensuring deliverables meet campaign objectives.
Work closely with the official show photographer to review and select images that align with social media storytelling and marketing goals.
Oversee daily social media engagement, responding to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
Ensure all equestrian sponsorship social media deliverables are fulfilled in alignment with contractual agreements.
Creatively integrate sponsor brands into organic content to maximize exposure and audience engagement.
Monitor, track, and analyze key social media metrics to identify trends and refine strategies for audience growth and engagement, leveraging data-driven insights and staying current with industry trends and platform updates to optimize performance.
Strong understanding of equestrian sports and horse show culture, including experience in the hunter/jumper industry (multi-discipline experience is a plus). However, applicants without direct equestrian experience may also be considered if they demonstrate an outstanding track record of high-level sport-related content creation.
