    Job Description

    Position Overview:

    Vericast is seeking a creative, strategic, and detail-oriented Social Media & Content Specialist to join our communications team. This role is responsible for managing our social media presence, producing engaging multimedia content, and supporting integrated communication efforts across the organization. The ideal candidate is a strong storyteller with a passion for digital engagement and a keen ability to translate business goals into compelling content for both internal and external audiences.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Social Media Management (25%)

    • Curate, schedule, and publish content across all social media platforms.

    • Ensure brand voice, tone, and strategy consistency across channels.

    • Monitor and respond to engagement opportunities and potential risks in real-time.

    • Manage crisis communication as needed to protect brand reputation.

    Content Development & Editorial (25%)

    • Create high-quality multimedia content—including graphics, videos, and written copy.

    • Support major initiatives including press releases, leadership communications, demand generation, and internal campaigns.

    • Maintain editorial excellence in alignment with brand standards and tone.

    Analytics & Reporting (10%)

    • Track performance of social and communication initiatives.

    • Provide regular reporting with insights and actionable recommendations to enhance strategy.

    Community Management (10%)

    • Cultivate meaningful interactions within our online community.

    • Respond to comments, questions, and messages in a timely and brand-consistent manner.

    Campaign Development (10%)

    • Assist in the planning and execution of integrated marketing and communication campaigns.

    • Help guide initiatives from awareness through conversion.

    Strategy Support & Collaboration (10%)

    • Collaborate with internal teams including Design, Product, Demand Generation, and Events.

    • Align social media and communications plans with broader business objectives.

    Paid Social Support (10%)

    • Contribute to the creation and performance monitoring of paid social campaigns.

    • Suggest optimizations and support performance reporting.

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Social Media, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field.

    Experience:

    • Minimum 3 years of experience in social media and corporate communications; financial services experience a plus.

    • Proficient with social media and content management tools (e.g., Sprout Social, Hootsuite, SharePoint).

    • Experienced with design and content creation platforms (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).

    • Strong understanding of social media analytics and performance optimization.

    • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills across channels.

    • Demonstrated success collaborating across departments to support business goals.

    Skills & Attributes:

    • Deep understanding of key social platforms and best practices for B2B audiences.

    • Proficiency in interpreting performance data to drive decisions.

    • Strong project management and organizational abilities.

    • Crisis communication and real-time response skills.

    • Knowledge of AP Style and professional communication standards.

    • Self-starter, creative thinker, and solution-oriented.

    • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

    • Willingness to travel occasionally, as needed.
