    Job Summary

    We are seeking a Social Media Coordinator to join our team! As a Social Media Coordinator, you will be creating content across many different social media platforms, working on existing promotional campaigns, and maintaining a strong online presence. You will also be maintaining the comments section of all posts, ensuring every message published on social media is in tune with our company message, and keeping up to date with the latest social media trends. The ideal candidate is comfortable creating content for a social media platform, has strong organizational skills, and the ability to run a successful social media campaign.

    1. Content that makes people hungry They should know how to create:

    Short-form videos (Reels/TikTok) of your food being made (jerk chicken on the grill, oxtail falling off the bone, sauces being poured)

    Clean food photography (not dull or dark)

    Hooks that grab attention in the first 3 seconds If their content doesn’t make you want to eat, it won’t work.

    1. Platform strategy (not just posting randomly) They should understand:

    Instagram Reels growth

    TikTok virality

    Best posting times, trends, hashtags, and sounds And how to tailor content differently for each platform.

    1. Local marketing focus (this is critical for you) You don’t need millions of views—you need people in your area pulling up. They should:

    Target local audience (Inland Empire / your city)

    Use geo-tags and local hashtags

    Create content like “Best Jamaican food in [city]”

    Highlight your location, catering, and specials

    1. Sales-driven thinking Every post should have a purpose:

    “Come try this today”

    “Order catering”

    “Lunch special” They should understand how to turn views into actual customers, not just likes.

    1. Basic ad skills (huge bonus) They should be able to run or assist with ads on:

    Instagram

    Facebook Even a small budget should bring in measurable traffic.

    1. Consistency + planning

    Content calendar (at least 3–5 posts/week)

    Batch filming at your restaurant (1–2 days shooting a lot of content)

    Staying on brand (colors, vibe, voice)

    Encouraging reviews

    Building a community (not just posting and disappearing)

    Strong familiarity with all major social media platforms, including understanding social media trends
