    Job Description Summary

    We’re searching for a candidate with a high level of initiative who can conceptualize, implement, and quarterback the entire process/system of community management (deciding which tools/platforms work best and developing a relevant reporting method). They will own our brand voice and engage with customers/potential customers on a daily basis. In addition to community management, the Social Media Specialist will spearhead social-media posting for our family of brands. We’re looking for an industrious creative who loves telling brand stories- someone who can anticipate the wants and needs of home shoppers to help produce the most relevant and thumb-stopping content.

    You will be working alongside our Social Media Manager to execute the Taylor Morrison brand, voice, style and personality nationally and at the market level. This is your opportunity to create social media content for one of the nation’s leading home building brands.

    JOB DETAILS

    WE TRUST THAT AS A SOCIAL MEDIA SPECIALIST YOU WILL: (RESPONSIBILITIES)

    • The Social Media Specialist will handle all community management (responding to comments/messages) pertaining to positive interactions and requests for information that come through on social media.

      • Be our brand’s voice on social media! Monitor conversations and content across social media and address engagement in real time.

      • Tracks down answers to info-requests that come through from users on social media (collaborating with divisional marketing & sales teams).

      • Vets out community-management tools/platforms to initiate a streamlined process that allows for organized segmentation & reporting of engagement.

    • Leads ongoing content production & publishing for social media.

      • Create and maintain monthly content calendars.

      • Sources assets from divisional teams and makes ongoing adjustments to suit various content formats (i.e. video/image editing & optimization)

      • Helps provide creative direction for photo/video shoots.

      • Captures content at occasional brand events and community tours.

      • Works to define and standardize best-practice content curation (optimizing titles, descriptions, thumbnails, etc.)

      • Spearheads channel expansion opportunities (i.e. Twitter, Pinterest, etc.)

      • Leads collaboration with creative/copywriting to leverage their ongoing content projects for social-media purposes (i.e. creating posts that push to blogs as they are developed)

      • Keep a close eye on social media content trends and integrate them into brand content and messaging when appropriate.

      • Stay current with new social media platform capabilities, ad units, guidelines, and best practices.

      • Generate insight into brand content and community performance and provide recommendations for improvement.

      • Document and report on content performance and other social media metrics.

    • Continues with on-job education related to all things digital marketing (i.e. Google Analytics, Salesforce, Zillow, etc.)

    ABOUT YOU:

    • 3+ years of experience in social-media management (content creation, copywriting, community management)

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing preferred

    • Experience with social media management tools (i.e. Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Falcon, i.e.)

    • Photography and video production experience (especially for social media)

    • Competent knowledge/experience with the Adobe Creative Suite (basic photo/video editing abilities)

    • Marketing sensibility (you know good content when you see it!)

    • Ability to juggle multiple projects and prioritize without supervision

    • Expert in Microsoft Office

    • Proficiency with spreadsheets and various reporting/measurement tools

    • Paid Social and Google Analytics experience a huge plus

    • Ability to work independently as well as in groups to bring projects to fruition

    • Competent knowledge of digital marketing channels (Paid vs. Organic, Email, etc.).

    • Loves marketing/advertising/branding!

    FLSA STATUS: EXEMPT

    Will have responsibilities such as:

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    • Must be able to able to remain in a stationary position up to 50% of the time

    • The ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

    Taylor Morrison experience and/or successful completion of training program may override required education and/or experience requirement.
