    The Purpose of the Role

Social Nature is seeking a Business Development Representative to join our team during an exciting time for our company. We're experiencing high growth and we're looking for someone who is self-motivated, results-driven and is passionate about the better-for-you product space. If you're someone who gets excited when they go grocery shopping at Whole Foods Market, you'll fit right into our team! Also once you work at Social Nature, grocery shopping will never again be the same as you'll see all of our clients and prospects on the shelves!

As an experienced Business Development Specialist, you'll research, prospect, book and qualify leads for the sales team to pursue in the growing better-for-you product space across North America. Identifying new business opportunities isn't easy, but you're motivated because of your passion for chasing wins and passion for the industry.

Your primary focus will be on outbound prospecting better-for-you food, beverage, health and wellness brands in North America - essentially anything you could find on the shelves at Whole Foods Market! You will hunt down brands that would be a fit for Social Nature by networking online and offline, staying up to date on CPG industry news, and working lead lists to drive qualified meetings for our sales team. As you grow into the role, there's also the opportunity to develop strategic referral partnerships with CPG industry associations and networks. The right candidate is resourceful, self-motivated, goal-oriented, and an excellent communicator.

This is a great opportunity to grow your business development career, with a company on a mission to help more people switch to better-for-you products. You will work in a small cross-functional team, and report directly to the Head of Business Development. Your input, ideas and results will make a big difference in our growing company.
