    Job Description

    SOCIAL PET HOTEL & DAYCARE is looking to hire a positive, hard-working dog lover with leadership experience to work as a FULL-TIME CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE at our PINEVILLE, NC FACILITY.     This customer service and animal care position starts at $11/HR. All of our employees are eligible for PERFORMANCE-BASED BONUSES EVERY 2 WEEKS, FREE YOGA CLASSES, FREE DAYCARE FOR THEIR DOGS WHILE ON SHIFT, and 50% OFF DAYCARE AND BOARDING FOR THEIR DOGS WHILE NOT AT WORK. Our FULL-TIME EMPLOYEES ARE ALSO ELIGIBLE FOR MEDICAL BENEFITS, A 401(K), 40 HOURS PER YEAR OF PAID TIME OFF (PTO), AND EDUCATION REIMBURSEMENT. We offer daycare options including group play and one-on-one enrichment activities; a variety of comfortable boarding accommodations with personalized amenities; and spa services ranging from a basic bath, brush, and nail grind to a full pup makeover. We support dog parents by identifying each dog's personality traits, prior experiences, behavior, and level of athleticism so we can create a program that truly benefits each individual dog.

    A DAY IN THE LIFE AS A CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE

    As a Customer Service Representative you are the main point of contact for pet parents. With a welcoming smile, you greet them and their pets as they enter our establishment. You maintain accurate records of all incidents and competently discuss each dog's experiences and behavior with their human parents. With attention to detail, you use our computer software program to keep records organized and up-to-date. You oversee your shift to ensure that the customer service is exceptional in every way and that dogs and staff are safe.

    Safety is your number one priority! You carefully observe dog behavior and ensure that good play skills and calming signals are being used at all times. Using your excellent leadership skills, you inspire Pet Care Specialists and Enrichment Specialists to keep the facility and operations up to our high standards at all times. You work side-by-side with the staff you supervise to complete all necessary chores to the highest standards. And, depending on your shift, you ensure that all opening or closing duties are completed properly.

    Your ability to give and receive regular feedback, proactively address customer and staff challenges, and lead by example through daily positive interactions with the people and dogs around you is crucial to your success. You get to enjoy all kinds of canine love, from giant, enthusiastic, slobbery love to dainty, reserved love. You freely dole out petting and affection to dogs of all breeds and temperaments. You love them all! Thanks to your commitment, our four-legged friends love their time with us and their parents can enjoy peace of mind.

    QUALIFICATIONS FOR A CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE

    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Prior leadership experience preferably in a dog daycare or animal boarding facility
    • Experience with and physical ability to handle dogs of all sizes and breeds
    • Ability to stand for 6 hours at a time in all weather conditions
    • Customer service skills
    • A love for animals

    WORK SCHEDULE

    This position typically works from 6:30 am - 12:00 pm or 1:45pm - 7:30 pm. Social Pet is open 365 days a year, so a willingness to work weekends and holidays is part of the job.
