    We have an immediate need for a part-time, non-exempt Social Worker to serve as a resource for the Center-Based Programs by assessing the social-emotional needs, strengths, and support systems to set goals for empowerment and improved well-being. The pay rate for this position is $28.20 per hour. As a part-time role, the Social Worker is eligible to participate in some of the organization's paid leave programs.

    POSITION OVERVIEW (What we're looking for )

    As a member of the Center-Based Programs department, the Social Worker **** manages the organization's implementation of positive behavioral supports and interventions with the staff, girls, and parents. This role involves direct intervention with K-12 youth, monitoring organizational trends in behaviors and mental health impacts, and supporting opportunities that promote mental and physical well-being in youth. Reporting to the Chief Program Officer, the Social Worker is a vital resource in implementing healthy approaches to assist participants in leading productive and fulfilling lives. This part-time work schedule will be between 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm, Monday - Friday, totaling 15.0 hours per week.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & DUTIES (What you'll be achieving)

    At a minimum, the Social Worker will be responsible for successfully carrying out the following essential functions and duties:

    • Assess the social-emotional needs of children and make referrals for services and support to them and their families.
    • Collaborate with the team to establish partnerships with community organizations.
    • Attend meetings with the organization's partners, such as school districts, local mental health agencies, local social services, etc., as requested.
    • Facilitate professional development opportunities for staff around behavior management and youth well-being.
    • Provide behavioral support and intervention to staff for youth in programs.
    • Create opportunities to educate youth about mental and physical well-being.
    • Facilitate outreach to youth at the Lynn center about their services and build relationships with them.
    • Travel within the greater Lynn community to provide direct outreach and engagement.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (What you'll bring along)

    Education : Bachelor's degree in Social Work from an accredited university. The educational requirement may be substituted with four years of relevant experience.

    Experience : Minimum of two years of post-graduate direct service-related experience with youth.

    Qualifications : To be optimally successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

    • Demonstrated experience providing direct support or intervention services to K-12 youth in a structured environment.
    • Familiar with youth mental health and wellness trends, including the ability to recognize behavioral patterns and identify needs for early intervention.
    • Proven ability to build rapport, gain trust, and foster positive relationships with youth, families, and staff.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills for engaging effectively with students, parents/guardians, and school staff.
    • Ability to collaborate across the organization and externally with community partners and schools to connect youth and families with appropriate resources.
    • Capacity to travel locally throughout the Lynn community and surrounding areas to engage with youth, families, partners, and other stakeholders as needed.
    • Experience with behavior management using an emphatic and solution-seeking approach.
    • Fluent in multiple languages (English, English/Spanish, Haitian Creole/English, etc.) is a plus.
