    MO HealthNet / Long-Term Care Medicaid Applications We’re looking for a detail-oriented, compassionate, and highly organized Social Worker / Medicaid Eligibility Specialist to handle long-term-care Medicaid (MO HealthNet) eligibility for families navigating some of the most stressful moments of their lives. This role focuses on preparing, submitting, and following through on Medicaid applications—from intake through approval—while working closely with clients, care facilities, and state agencies. This is NOT a government caseworker position. This is a client-focused role inside a private elder law firm, where you’ll have the time, support, and systems to do the work correctly—without crushing caseloads, political pressure, or burnout. Responsibilities: • Prepare, submit, and manage MO HealthNet / Medicaid long-term-care applications • Review client income, assets, bank statements, deeds, and financial documents • Communicate with DSS caseworkers and follow up on application status • Guide families through spend-down rules, asset documentation, and required verifications • Maintain accurate case notes and workflow within our systems • Work closely with attorneys, paralegals, and funding coordinators • Provide updates to clients and explain Medicaid eligibility requirements in simple, understandable terms • Track deadlines, respond to Requests for Information (RFI), and support clients through the approval process Bottom Line If you’re tired of being overworked, under-supported, or stuck in a system that makes it hard to do things the right way—and you want to use your Medicaid expertise to genuinely help families—this role was built for you.
