Job Description
QUALIFICATIONS: We prefer an individual with a 4-year Bachelor’s degree or related experience and at least 4 years Human Resources experience. Good written and verbal communication, as well as computer skills.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Track and report all disciplinary action and grievances that are generated within the plant.
· Interact and provide assistance to salary and union associates
· Filter applicant resumes to managers for open salary positions
· Recruit for open hourly positions
· Complete weekly and monthly tracking for HR reports
· Maintain all hourly personnel files.
· Track and report daily overtime and absenteeism.
· Respond to verification of employment and unemployment requests
· Employee orientation administration
· Prepare and update seniority lists and manpower summary.
· Complete status change forms for new hires, terminations, etc.
· Daily audit of timekeeping system for punch errors and variances
· Keep HRIS and benefit portal updated with current employee information
· Coordinate training for all levels of hourly and salary staff
· Prepare reports and recommend procedures to reduce absenteeism and turnover
