    CO-OP PROGRAM OVERVIEW:

    Retail Business Services offers an IT Co-op Program focused in the Data, Web and Mobile teams and is targeted to current students and recent graduates. As part of this program, you’ll work collaboratively with the grocery brands Retail Business Services supports, including Food Lion, The GIANT Company, Giant Food, Hannaford and Stop & Shop, to develop IT solutions for the next generation of grocery retail. Participants can expect to leverage rapid application development, such as websites and apps, to create new offerings and ways of doing business while exploring emerging technologies new to the commercial space. 

    • 6-month paid program

    • Work on impactful projects collaborating with grocery brands to develop innovative IT solutions

    PROGRAM DATES:

    POSITION OVERVIEW:

    We’re looking for bright, energetic, and out-of-the-box problem solvers to join our team. We specialize in development of Loyalty, Conversational AI and Salesforce applications. This development position exposes associates to multiple technologies working to achieve our companies customer service and loyalty applications.  

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    MUST HAVE

    • Passion for technology and using it to solve business problems 

    • Excellent communication skills 

    • Experience building solutions using Javascript, Vue.js, Python, TypeScript, JAVA/Spring Framework, relational and/or NoSQL databases, and REST API’s 

    • Possess an understanding of the Agile development cycle, including design, development and deployment, and testing with some back-end knowledge 

    • Knowledge of Azure Cloud environment  

    • Understanding the importance of interactive design and usability for applications  

    • Understanding of both the art and science of coming together to effectively design and develop applications as a team 

    • Team player who thrives in a continually changing environment

     

    NICE TO HAVE

    • Understanding of GIT repository, database design, LINQ, and XML  

    • Experience with active directory is a plus 

    • Transferrable skillsets from working with modern JavaScript frameworks and libraries such as React JS, Vue JS, or Angular JS

     

    EDUCATION

    • Must be enrolled in a BS/BA, MS, or PhD program or a recent graduate in related field
