    The Role

    The Motion Graphics team is responsible for text and motion graphics features in Premiere Pro and AfterEffects. We are a close-knit and supportive team with a passion for delighting our customers. Our creative tools are used by Hollywood, major news outlets, social media influencers (YouTube / Instagram), and creatives all over the world.

    What you'll do

    As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll be responsible for building features in large C++ desktop applications. You will have a chance to contribute at all levels of the applications from UI to rendering to testing. This is a phenomenal opportunity to learn from, and contribute to, an outstanding group of hardworking creative professionals.

    Having a drive for understanding and crafting modern software solutions with a quality first approach is key for this role. Specific areas of ownership and opportunity include:

    • Implement exciting new features in text and animation
    • Work with architects to build successful and sustainable code
    • Improve and maintain existing application functionality
    • Implement automated tests for graphics features and support the testing infrastructure
    • Work with quality engineers and product managers to respond to user feedback and improve workflows

    What you need to succeed

    • Eagerness for identifying root causes for problems and understanding complex systems
    • Curiosity about developing solutions to ensure we deliver nothing but the best user experiences and quality
    • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a software engineer
    • Understanding the concepts of multithreading, synchronization and memory management
    • Deep knowledge of C++
    • Some JS/TS experience is preferred
    • Experience developing large-scale desktop applications for Mac and/or Windows
    • Exposure to and experience with video editing software is a plus
    • Desire to learn
    • Comfortable asking questions and seeking advice, working collaboratively

    Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $133,900 -- $242,000 annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

    At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

    In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
