I. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES
Develops software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, and studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes. Investigates problem areas. Prepares and installs solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming.
As part of HHSC IT Applications – Social Services Applications initiatives, the worker will perform the following activities to accomplish the following goals:

-Strong understanding and experience of fundamental programming concepts of data structures, algorithms, performance, caching and scalability issues in the context of Web based UI applications.

Note : Expected Start Date 01/19/2026 and Expected End Date 08/31/2026. May be renewed up to 3 years.
Hybrid - On Site and Telework. Program will only allow candidates who are LOCAL TO THE AUSTIN AREA (Within 50-mile radius).
Position will be 3 days remote with 2 days (Mondays, Thursdays) required to be onsite.
Normal business hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM , excluding State holidays when the agency is closed. The worker may be required to work outside the normal business hours on weekends, evenings and holidays, as requested.
