    Alphanumeric is hiring a SOFTWARE ENGINEER to work remotely in New York with an established stronghold client in the financial and insurance industries.

    We are seeking a highly experienced and driven Principal Software Engineer to lead the modernization of our Assessment platform. This role requires a deep understanding of modern software development practices, a passion for cutting-edge technologies, and the ability to provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team. You will play a critical role in shaping the future of our platform, ensuring its scalability, resilience, and maintainability.

    This role requires full eligibility to work in the USA. We do not offer work visa sponsorships for this position.

    CONDITIONS :

    • Type of employment: W2 Contract (on-site). MUST BE ABLE TO WORK ON A W2
    • Pay rate: 63$/hour
    • Duration: 3 months
    • Work location: Remote but must be based in NY or NJ, as there will be mandatory on-site meetings
    • Monday – Friday: 8:00am – 5:00pm EST

    Qualifications :

    • 10+ years of professional software development experience, with a significant portion in a senior or leadership role.

    • Extensive experience in software development with proficiency in multiple programming
      languages, including TypeScript, Node.js, Next.js, Flutter, React Native, Swift, and Kotlin.

    • Deep understanding of high-performance database design and experience with PostgreSQL
      and MongoDB.

    • Proven track record of delivering large-scale, high-impact software projects.

    • Experience building real-time video telecommunication applications.

    • Experience building and managing B2B APIs.

    • Experience building B2B portals with Single Sign-On (SSO) integration.

    • Experience with transaction systems utilizing asynchronous queues.

    • Experience building and deploying iOS and Android applications with a history of achieving
      high user ratings (4.5+).

    • Experience integrating with eCommerce platforms such as Adyen or others

    • 2+ years of experience in Senior Living Industry

    • Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.

    • Ability to mentor and guide other engineers.

    Responsibilities:

    • Architect and implement a new B2B and a B2C Assessment platform using modern technologies such as TypeScript, React, React Native, Flutter, and GraphQL.
    • Champion and implement best software development practices to ensure resilient, modular, scalable, and flexible systems.
    • Define and enforce coding standards, design patterns, and quality metrics to guarantee code maintainability and reliability.
    • Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and code reviews to team members, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
    • Collaborate closely with product managers and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into robust technical specifications.
    • Lead the implementation of consistent CI/CD pipelines and contribute to DevSecOps practices.
    • Contribute to the hosting and deployment strategy for the platform.
