    Job Title: Software Engineer
    Pay range: $60.00 to $74.00
    Duration: 12 months
    Setup : Hybrid

    • The Candidate’s objective is to build, repair, expand, and consolidate .Net applications for the aftermarket technical team. This is to further develop and optimize existing software tools to enable our Engineering Teams to more effectively and efficiently serve our customers, providing solutions that deliver compelling value and unparalleled performance.
    • SSO engineering is currently utilizing multiple different tools some of which have bugs or are not fully developed. These tools are purposed to document investigations, communicate service requests from customers, release technical publications, and track quality corrective actions.
    • The tools and processes established have proven to be good methods of logging and tracking data essential for the engineers to stay on top of the investigations as well as sharing data and prioritizing investigations with cross-functional teams.
    • Many of these tools are now embedded into daily activities and referenced in Engineering Management procedures (EMs) which are auditable under AS9100.
    • A need to support various teams under the SSO technical team: Customer Support Engineering team, Technical Publications team, Quality team, and Field Service Engineer team. In addition, the acquisition of Parker Meggitt requires the integration of information from additional divisions into the SSO aftermarket organization.
    • Bringing in a computer science contractor who has experience in software development from the ground-up and is focused on the SSO engineering tools is ideal at this juncture.
    • The concept would be to have the contractor migrate the existing SSO engineering tools to a more stable environment while coordinating with IT on the larger picture. This will also alleviate the SSO IT team's focus on supporting the repair station due to bandwidth. A list of the tools/applications are listed below. There will be more additions as the Parker Meggitt integration continues.

    Requirements:

    • Ability to work 40 hours per week.
