Job Title: Software Engineer – ERP Integration with CBP ACE
Location: Miami, FL (Remote or Hybrid options available)
Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer with specialized experience integrating ERP systems with U.S. Customs and Border Protection's (CBP) Automated Commercial Environment (ACE). This role supports our compliance as an approved Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ-281) operator in Miami, Florida. You will ensure seamless communication between our ERP platform and ACE, automating inventory management, reporting, and compliance processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and manage integration between our ERP system and the CBP ACE platform using EDI (ANSI X12) messaging standards.
Ensure compliance with CBP's CATAIR specifications for FTZ inventory reporting and documentation.
Conduct thorough data mapping, testing, troubleshooting, and certification of integration processes.
Implement secure and reliable communication protocols (e.g., Secure FTP, VAN).
Collaborate with logistics, compliance, and operations teams to define and meet CBP reporting requirements.
Document integration processes and maintain up-to-date compliance with evolving CBP standards.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience integrating ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, or similar) with CBP ACE.
Strong proficiency in ANSI X12 EDI standards, data translation, and secure data transfer protocols.
Understanding of FTZ inventory management, admission procedures, and CBP reporting requirements.
Experience with middleware solutions such as Integration Point, Descartes, BluJay, or similar platforms is highly desirable.
Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Experience:
Familiarity with FTZ regulations and PortMiami Foreign Trade Zone operations.
Previous integration projects for companies involved in international trade, logistics, or manufacturing.
