About the Opportunity
Leon Recruitment is partnering with an established organization to hire a Software Engineer I for its enterprise application development team.
This opportunity is suited to an early-career developer with solid programming fundamentals, practical development experience, and a strong interest in AI-assisted software engineering. Working alongside senior engineers, you will help build and support applications, develop working prototypes, and learn the business processes behind the systems you support.
The team values engineers who ask thoughtful questions, take direction well, troubleshoot systematically, and follow through on their assignments. Success requires both technical curiosity and the ability to understand how software supports everyday business operations.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, test, troubleshoot, and maintain applications using C#, .NET, and Azure services under the guidance of senior engineers.
Build and maintain SQL Server queries, stored procedures, views, functions, and supporting data models.
Use AI-assisted development tools to support prototyping and development while reviewing and validating the resulting code.
Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical colleagues to clarify requirements and translate them into working software.
Contribute to secure, reliable, and scalable enterprise applications.
Participate in sprint planning and deliver assigned work within established timelines.
Follow software development lifecycle procedures, including documentation, ticket updates, code reviews, and change management.
Learn existing applications, business workflows, and engineering standards, applying feedback as you develop.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
Experience with AI assisted development tools.
Understanding of object-oriented programming and familiarity with software architecture and design principles.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Clear communication and the ability to explain your work, ask for clarification, and collaborate with others.
Interest in AI-assisted development and a willingness to learn new tools and approaches.
Ability to work onsite in Miami five days per week.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Microsoft development stack (C#/.NET) and Azure.
Experience with Git, GitHub, and CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with SQL Server development, including T-SQL and familiarity with stored procedures, views, and functions.
Understanding of REST APIs and web services.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development practices.
