Software Engineer II (Backend)

$120,000-$170,000 Base Salary, Position eligible for additional incentives including bonus, 401k match, health and welfare benefits.

Summary:

We are seeking a talented and motivated Software Engineer II with a strong background in JavaScript or TypeScript and extensive experience in API development to join our small but dynamic team. As a Software Engineer II, you will play a key role in implementing, and maintaining the server-side logic of our applications, ensuring seamless integration with front-end elements, third-party vendors, and supporting the overall functionality of our products.

Major Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain APIs using TypeScript to support the functionality of our applications.

• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements using server-side logic.

• Integrate with third-party APIs to aggregate data from various sources.
  Implement server-side logic using TypeScript, with a focus on Node.js and Next.js.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as product, design, and third-party vendors, to prioritize tasks, and deliver high-quality software.

• Develop and maintain technical documentation and diagrams for codes and APIs, enabling seamless collaboration within the team.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in backend development with Nodejs.
• Strong experience with TypeScript and frontend frameworks/libraries, such as React.
• Experience with Jest unit testing.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture.
• From ideation, develop and deliver major infrastructure projects to production.
• Experience with deploying software in AWS environment.
• Experience in the financial or lending industry is a plus.
• Salesforce or other related CRM experience a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
