    Job Description

    The Out of Home (OOH) team is responsible for overseeing business centers operated by individual Small-to-Medium Businesses (SMBs) or national accounts, with a primary focus on childcare and senior care centers. You'll work on the technology platform powering our out-of-home provider network — the products and systems that support our relationships with daycare centers, family childcare providers, preschools, camps, and other businesses providing services outside the home.

    • Design, develop, and deploy features across both front-end and back-end
    • Integrate with essential third-party services and APIs
    • Ensure appropriate automated test coverage for efficient uptime and product reliability
    • Communicate blockers and progress clearly with the engineering team and cross-functional partners
    • Rapidly grow the platform and build new functionalities
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • 3–5 years of software development experience
    • Strong expertise in Ruby on Rails
    • Proficiency with PostgreSQL
    • Experience with AWS services (Lambda, DynamoDB)
    • Familiarity with Elasticsearch and Redis
    • Clear and effective communicator with a proven track record of collaborating across engineering, product, and business teams
    • Comfortable building new products as well as testing and refactoring existing code
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

    Salary Range: $120,000 - 145,000 The base salary range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the national salary range for this position. ** Actual salaries may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance.** The range listed is just one component of Care.com’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses and short- and long-term incentives.
