    Supernal is at the forefront of creating emerging mobility solutions that will foster the development of human-centered cities. We are designing a completely new electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft tailored to the mobility needs of future cities. This allows passengers a seamless intermodal journey that safely transports them to their final destination. We fuse research in autonomy, robotics, aviation and services to define a new category of mobility for the world’s communities.     What we do:

    The Software Project Engineer supports the software organization through both on the ground planning work and strategic project management. This position works with our multi-functional downstream customers to understand their needs and timelines and incorporates those into our release planning. They support the team tasked with executing software for a particular product and incorporates all software projects into a regular aircraft software release. This role works closely with the software managers to drive continuous improvement of software development of complex civil aircraft software within the organization.

    Supernal provides an inviting open-space workplace designed to foster collaboration, which aligns with one of our core values. This position is required to work on-site 5 days a week.

    What you can do:

    • Establish and manage a project management support cadence for each software project including communicating status in all directions, addressing customer needs, and planning
    • Integrate all software projects into one load plan
    • Manage the configuration control activities so that they comply with DO-178C
    • Automate measurement of software organization performance and velocity to drive gains to these measurements
    • Establish and govern process for prioritizing work aligned with the company and department’s goals
    • Support strategic planning of the software group
    • Partner with PMO organization to execute build plan
    • Requires up to 10% of domestic and international travel
    • Other duties as assigned

    What you can contribute:

    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related fields required; Master’s degree preferred
    • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in embedded software project management (an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered)
    • Experience with a CI/CD in an embedded hardware project
    • Familiarity with avionic systems
    • Strong logic and problem-solving skills
    • Able to independently prioritize and accomplish work within time constraints
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Proactive delivery of communication and follow up
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Proficiency with Excel VLOOKUP, pivot tables, MS Office Suite

    You may also be able to contribute:

    • Experience with civilian aircraft development processes (ARP-4754, ARP-4761, DO-178C, DO-254) preferred

    Base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and location. This position is also eligible for a bonus as part of total compensation.

    The pay range for this position is:

    $133,120 - $186,160 USD
