Job Roles

FaceTec is seeking a Software Quality Assurance (QA) Tester in the San Diego Area.

This position requires a team player that is proactive and passionate about ensuring the quality of software deliverables, and can communicate what is required to achieve this effectively. This role will work with FaceTec Software Developers and other Testers to accurately create and execute a broad range of testing.

Your will be responsible for testing FaceTec Products and Internal Tools, reporting issues, using Bug Tracking software, reproducing reported issues, writing and improving product specs and documentation, and overall ensuring a World Class Product!

You will be testing Android, iOS, and Browser Apps across a wide range of devices.

Must have 2-5+ Years Experience Testing Software.

Job Functions

• Author and execute mostly manual test cases to ensure product requirements are met.
• Ensure complete and timely reporting on bugs and test results.
• Ensures quality integration into the overall functions of software development and product/tool features.
• Provides quality support for software project teams throughout the software lifecycle, from design through launch.
• Analyzes test results to ensure existing functionality and requirements are met, and if necessary, recommends corrective action.
• Identify bugs, file bugs using Bug Tracking software, and validate fixes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree
• MUST have EXTREMELY HIGH attention to detail.
• MUST be EXTREMELY quick on a computer, hotkeys, typing, etc. This is a MUST!
• MUST have STRONG ANALYSIS skills.
• MUST be comfortable performing manual testing as a primary job function.
• Knowledge of mobile app technologies.
• Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with implementing regression testing for software.
• Knowledge of Agile Development methodologies.

Nice To Have

• Bachelor’s Degree in a technical domain.
• Familiarity with MacOS, Visual Studio Code, Xcode, iOS and Android Apps.
• HTML, CSS, Javascript, and Database skills are a plus.
• Any other programming experience is a plus.
