    THE ROLE

    We are looking for a Part-time contract / freelance Soho Home Communications Manager for the US. We will require approx. 2 / 3 days per week or 20 hours and this will be based out of the New York Support Office.

    • Work with the global Head of Comms to define the Soho Home communications strategy for the US market, including key focus areas and brand positioning.
    • Establish and maintain strong relationships with press, interior designers, influencers and strategic brand partners. Using your network to build positive brand perception and share of voice in the interiors marketplace.
    • Secure consistent, strategic and on-brand editorial coverage across key digital and print outlets.
    • Translate global communication initiatives and activate within the US market. Creating a territory specific calendar and driving regionalisation where required. Collaborating with key stakeholders across UK and US support offices to ensure maximum synergy and effectiveness.
    • Define and deliver launch plan for Soho Homes first standalone store in New York. Including a launch event and ongoing activations. Growing a presence for the store, and driving footfall.
    • Work with our US wholesale partner/s to successfully launch and drive ongoing awareness through their channels. Ensuring all activity is on brand, and in sync with wider activity. Be the central point of contact, and lead all sign off requirements and activation logistics internally.
    • Work with our US wholesale partners to activate launch initiatives and drive further support through their channels. Ensure all activity is on brand, in sync with the wider brand activity. Acting as the internal comms leads for all internal activation and sign off requirements.
    • Identify new ways to introduce Soho Home to, and collaborate with our members. Working with membership teams across each North America Soho House locations to understand the opportunities on a local level and to better deliver against them.
    • Execute US influencer activity in line with the global strategy. Pro-actively identifying new partners, owning the outreach, negotiations, contracts and deliverables. Overseeing logistics through to final delivery with departmental support.
    • Identifying new content opportunities and ideas to drive customer acquisition in the US market. Frequently feeding back and collaborating with global content and marketing teams to shape the ongoing strategy.
    • Be the eyes and ears for the US market. Keep abreast of competitor activities and industry developments in order to inform the business, and apply as necessary to marketing initiatives
    • Weekly coverage reporting and weekly KPIS , plus post campaign reporting and analysis, to produce actionable insights and learnings
    • Sample and gifting order management
    • Own US communications budget and report back on spend and ROI.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • 6+ years experience in a retail communications role
    • Strong personal network within the interiors and design industry
    • A people person, confident building relationships
    • Seasoned experience of communications planning and delivery, including event management
    • Self-starter and entrepreneurial. Ability to work independently and proactivity away from the global team to deliver results
    • Strong commercial acumen
