    THE ROLE:

    At Soho House the LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT REGIONAL MANAGER will support the Learning and Development function of Soho House & Co in an efficient, creative and engaging manner. The role requires strong attention to detail for administrative responsibilities, while also having a creative flair in assisting the development of new Learning and Development materials and delivery in line with the Soho House Values.

    A successful L&D Regional Manager will manage the monthly L&D Calendar, deliver selected training programs, and support the curation of content and training materials necessary to track and measure teams success.

    The role will be based at the Support Office and reports directly to the Head of Learning & Development, North America with whom they will work to ensure we recruit creative, quality members and keep the magic throughout all Soho House & Co properties.

    REQUIREMENTS

    MAIN DUTIES:

    • Coordinate and facilitate Learning & Development training sessions for multiple units within your region
    • Manage and assist in the delivery the weekly Induction program and to ensure all new hires receive an on brand experience
    • Work with managers to ensure all new hires are aware of the on-boarding program and provide new hire orientation paperwork to managers
    • Support with delivery of Club Schools and new openings
    • Assess training needs throughout the West Coast sites in conjunction with the Head of Operations, General Managers, and People & Development Managers.
    • Support all On Job Training where required.
    • Deliver selected training programs where required and all mandatory trainings.
    • Manage the monthly L&D Calendar and assist in the booking of rooms for trainings, if needed, and ensure the room set up is to Soho House standards.
    • Coordinate training attendance lists in an efficient manner and provide appropriate joining instructions where required.
    • Oversee team management including but not limited to recruitment, on-boarding, training, payroll and disciplinary procedures. Oversee staff performance, conducting appraisals and strategizing with leadership to assess performance and development while maintaining professional relationships
    • Adhere to health and safety policy (I.e. IIPP, workers comp procedures, and allergy procedures) and implement, monitor and enforce compliance with all Company policies, procedures and standards and local, state and federal law as applicable
    • Support Health and Safety training where required.
    • Support the development of new training materials for the group where required.
    • Support Soho Academy and Soho Academy Online, and address any related tasks as assigned by the Head of Learning & Development
    • Learning Management System maintenance and content updates, upkeep, data analysis, and administration.
    • Analyze all Mystery Service Scan reports with General Managers and plan/execute trainings accordingly.
    • Continually monitor and analyze service standards and offering effective training and development solutions where required.
    • Compile and submit a weekly L&D Report to the Head of Learning and perform monthly training audits.
    • Maintain regular contact with the Head of Learning & Development
    • Encourage and support a learning culture throughout all of our West Coast sites

    REQUIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

    GENERAL

    • Minimum of 4 to 6+ years of transferable L&D experience, curating content, and facilitating trainings for multi-unit properties throughout a region
    • Ability to create and present scalable trainings on PowerPoint (or Prezi)
    • Ensure the highest level of personal appearance at all times
    • Ensure that you are on time for work
    • Adhere to the company procedures for sickness and absence
    • Be fully aware of the fire and bomb procedures
    • An essential part of the job is being available on a flexible schedule and being willing to work outside office hours. For example, nights, weekends and holidays (as needed and when applicable). This may or may not be required on a regular basis, but is mandatory when needed
    • Identify and report hazards and maintenance requirements in the workplace
    • Any reasonable requests from Senior Management

    HEALTH & SAFETY

    • Work with H&S Manager to plan trainings
    • Ensure that all potential and real hazards are reported immediately and rectified
    • Ensure emergency procedures are rehearsed quarterly with attendance records, implemented and enforced to provide for the security and safety of guests and employees

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Must be able to seize, grasp, turn and hold objects with hands
    • Must be able to travel regularly
    • Must be able to work on your feet as well as stationary for at least 10 hours daily
    • Fast paced movements are required to go from one part of the club to others
    • Must be able to move, pull, carry or lift at least 30 pounds
    • Occasionally kneel, bend, crouch and climb is required
