    ASSOCIATE, SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING

    JOB OVERVIEW

    The ideal applicant will possess a strong knowledge of the digital and social media landscape and be passionate about social media, including best practices for lifestyle/beauty content across all platforms.

    The successful candidate will be someone who is actively engaged in social media, who pays close attention to detail and understands how to test and engage with an audience. This candidate interacts directly with the Soko Glam audience, providing thoughtful and exciting community management on both the site and on social media platforms.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Execute and manage social strategy to drive brand awareness, grow followers across all platforms, and build community through meaningful engagement for both Soko Glam.
    • Oversee social media marketing calendar for Soko Glam planning content at least 2 weeks in advance
    • Brainstorm and execute on social media activities to engage, retain, show appreciation for, and grow our community 
    • Responsible for ensuring content is posted on a timely basis across all platforms, and consistently upholds brand standards 
    • Research and evaluate new and innovative social media marketing tactics, social influencers and partnerships to continuously evolve social growth.
    • Own and execute community management across all platforms for accounts (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube)
    • Help secure social media partnerships and giveaways
    • Own social media analytics to constantly optimize social media performance by building best practices on content, distribution, amplification, and influencer marketing.

    QUALIFICATIONS 

    • Bachelor's degree, preferably in communications, marketing, or a related field
    • 2+ years of experience in social media management, preferably for a lifestyle or beauty brand or media company
    • Understanding of the digital and social media universe, with a deep understanding of all platforms and genuinely excited about social media and the beauty/skin care industry 
    • Highly communicative and transparent  
    • Ability to excel in a dynamic, fast-paced and highly collaborative work environment.
    • A balance of creativity and detail-oriented thinking 
    • Experience with Later, Hootsuite, DashHudson or similar social media scheduling platforms
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Highly organized with excellent time and project management skills 
    • Strategic thinker and self-starter, specifically in identifying innovative partnerships
    • Ability to effectively communicate results and insights to team and management
