Commercial Solar/Microgrid Sales Consultant

Job Summary:
SolMicroGrid is seeking a highly motivated California-based Commercial Microgrid Sales Account Executive to join our growing team. We seek individuals ready to transition their current solar and or commercial sales abilities to a more lucrative and rewarding career. This role presents you with the opportunity to sell small to mid-size behind-the-meter commercial solar installations to business owners throughout the state of California. Commercial solar installations range from 100kW to 3MW.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Represent SolMicroGrid professionally by increasing brand awareness and becoming an expert in our industry
· Ensure a positive and high-quality customer experience through all interactions
· Meet or exceed individual and team sales goals
· Consult with prospective customers on solar energy solutions
· Achieve sales goals including quotas, lead response timeliness, meeting conversions, etc.
· Qualify prospective customers using established and creative lead methods to build your book of business
· Lead generation through networking, cold calling, email outreach, and attending conferences
· Design and build Solar/Microgrid Energy system proposals that fit the prospective customer's needs
· Build and maintain strong relationships with your sphere of influence and the community
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
· Knowledge of finance, sizing solar, battery knowledge, familiar with generators, designing rough draft of systems, development experience a plus as is existing contacts in the field
· Homer and other programs specific to the industry are a plus
· Technical skills are a major plus
· Engineering Degree a major plus
· Excellent organization and communication skills
· Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
· Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
· Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
· Proficient in Microsoft Office
· Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
· Ability to travel to industry events and prospective clients and projects
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree
At least 5+ years of related experience is required
Clean Tech Industry preferred
National rollout experience preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Prolonged periods of walking, standing, sitting at a desk, and working on a computer
Must be able to lift 25 pounds
Must be able to travel
