Job Description
SolRiver finances and acquires solar projects across the United States. You will play an integral part of that process, by researching and cataloging (1) project acquisition opportunities and new potential developer partners.
We are seeking a project research associate to join us on a temporary basis initially (with the potential for a full-time position). Scheduled hours will be from 9:00AM-5:00PM M-F at our downtown Denver office.
The key responsibilities will be the following:
Web Research
Use a variety of web search methods to (1) identify new developers and installers to work with and (2) find projects that are in the early-development stage.
Identify new market opportunities based on state policy/regulations.
Sift through source material like event lists, county meeting notes, permitting memos, and RFP bid awards to discover new developers/installers or projects.
Cataloging Information
Maintain a list of new companies discovered, including notes on their project track-record and any recent PR. - Maintain a list of opportunities with comprehensive information about the project (including size, location, and project timeline).
Find contact information for new companies.
- Update our existing marketing database.
To begin, we can provide you with our standard research framework. Any additional insight that you can add to our process is welcome. Your efforts will help drive outreach to high-quality targets for financing and acquisition.
Qualifications
Excellent Googling skills
Experience with web research
Ability to quickly skim documents for relevant information
High attention to detail
Experience with Microsoft Excel & Microsoft Word
Although not requried, Hubspot experience is a plus
