    Job Description

    SOLAR SALES CONSULTANT

    ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

    A Sales Consultant will conduct in-home consultations to educate homeowners, sell the benefit of alternative energy using solar panels, and save them money. You will cold-call new customers by phone, in person, and build long-term relationships to generate appointments, leads, and referrals. In this role, you will also manage your pipeline of customers using our clients CRM tool, make follow-up phone calls and emails, and work different events to create new sales opportunities.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Generate new appointments by knocking door to door and dialing through our lead database.
    • Conduct in-home or virtual sales presentations with qualified customers.
    • Meet Sales Targets per Quarter
    • Prepare proposals, contracts, or presentations for potential solar customers.
    • Use HubSpot to manage your customer pipeline and performance.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Must have or be able to obtain a Home Improvement Salesperson license through the California Contractors State Licensing Board (CSLB).
    • Must have 3 years of B2B, in-home Sales Experience or Door to Door experience
    • Or a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management/Administration or Sales and Marketing with 2 years in-home sales, B2B, or Door to Door experience
    • Reliable computer & tablet skills and high proficiency with Google Suite.
    • Bilingual is a plus (Spanish)
    • Must have an iPhone X or above or Galaxy 10 or above smartphone and laptop with mobile internet access available.
    • Reliable customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
    • Flexibility to work a variety of hours, including nights and weekends.
    • Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment.
    • Must be able to pass a pre employment background check

    • Average solar sales representative makes $90,000 in their first year and over $125,000 in their second year.
